The next day, I stayed in because I wasn’t feeling my best. Plus, I still had to take care of Ryoma. He was able to walk again, and he seemed to be almost healed. I was tired, so I took a nap for a while.  When I woke up, Kyo still wasn’t back, and Ryoma was sleeping.

He seemed to look kind of cute as he slept. His hair over his eyes and his little smile that seemed to look a little bit weird, considering he was sleeping. I flipped the hair out of his face, and then stroked his head to help him relax.

Kyo came back an hour later with lunch, so I woke Ryoma up to eat. We had a nice lunch, and Ryoma told me he wanted to show me something. We ran out of the shelter. He was running and holding my wrist, which slipped, and his grasp reached my hand. I blushed as we held hands, but he seemed to be smiling about it as if he had just won something. Ryoma had taken me to my relaxing spot, and sat on a log. Out of nowhere, he pulled out a guitar. I was wondering where the hell he got the guitar on this island, but then he started playing my favorite song, and I sat next to him. I started thinking that this was probably a dream. I was surprised that he did this for me, but I really loved hearing the song, so that made me happy. Plus, Ryoma was an awesome singer.

He finished the song, and then said to me, “Would you like and encore?”

“Yes please!”

He started playing a song I’ve never heard before. I didn’t know what he was singing, so I just listened to the lyrics.

“Sakura, oh Sakura; you came into my life. I loved you from the first time I saw you. I wished for a kiss, I wanted your love.”

He went on with a song about how special I was to him. I felt so special now. This was definitely one of the best things a guy has ever done for me. The lyrics could’ve been a bit better, but I honestly didn’t care about that right now. He finished the song, and then pulled out a beautiful flower.

“I finally found what I was looking for.” he said, smiling at me.

“It’s beautiful, the flower, the song, everything right now is beautiful. How did you do all this?”

“Well, that day where I got hurt, I was looking for a flower like this. While I was searching the beach, I just found an old guitar that just drifted up onto the shore. I was able to play the guitar back home, but never had one of my own. I thought it would be nice to show you my love through a song… so yeah.”

“Wow, for someone who wasn’t really able to play much back at home, your good.”

“Thanks, should we go back now?”

“No, I think we could stay here a little bit longer.”

I put my hand on his leg, and then he seemed to be surprised when I’m doing that. When I saw that, I let out a little laugh because it was pretty funny. I scooted myself closer to him, and then started looking up at the trees. The trees had recovered from the storm, so I was enjoying the gorgeous view of the sun shining through the leaves.

Ryoma seemed tired, so I pulled his head to my lap, and then stroked his head gently, still looking up.  He got up after a couple of minutes, and pulled my head to his shoulder and wrapped his arm around me. I sat there, blushing, and Ryoma must’ve seen me because he pulled me even closer.

I felt really warm with Ryoma’s arm around me, plus the sun shining down on us. He turned me towards him and pulled me close. I swear I’ve been in this position a lot in the last couple of months, reality and dreams.

I stayed there for a while, thinking that Ryoma was probably going to kiss me right now. I was expecting it, but it didn’t have to happen. I waited for something to happen. I was able to hear Ryoma’s heartbeat, and I knew he was going to do something because his heart was beating at the speed of light. That, or it was because I was so close to him.

After a while, he finally placed his hand on my face, ever so slightly, and then guided me to look at his. I knew this was going to be the moment. I was thinking I know this is the moment. He’s making me look up, and now I’m staring into his eyes. This is definitely the moment. It happens all the time in my dreams, and it was exactly like this with Kyo.

His eyes were a beautiful, dark blue. Kind of like a sapphire, maybe a bit lighter or darker, I don’t know. I haven’t seen a sapphire in over a year, so I don’t know. I was just focused on the moment right now. I closed my eyes, waiting, and I felt Ryoma’s hand guiding my face towards his. Maybe, after I’ve kissed Kyo and Ryoma, I’ll be able to tell who the one is.

I was still waiting, and now I’m starting to think dude, it isn’t rocket science. You don’t need to be perfect when kissing, so just do it. I opened my eyes, and as soon as I opened them, we kissed. This is a great moment, but it’s not better or worse than my kiss with Kyo. They were practically equal. Now I’m even more confused about my feelings. I thought kissing them both and seeing which kiss was more special might help, but obviously it didn’t make a difference. It just made me even more confused.

We released our lips, and Ryoma pulled me close again. It seemed like he never wanted to let go of me, like how Kyo is often when he hugs me. Eventually, I gently pushed him away because it felt like a little too much for me. I mentioned to him, “We should probably be getting back.” He sighed and replied, “Yeah, I guess so.”

When we got back, Kyo had fallen asleep. He looked so peaceful, so I tried to be quiet so he could rest. I cooked dinner, and once it was ready, I woke Kyo up so he could eat. We had dinner and then went to bed.
