I woke Kyo up, so he could eat with us. We had our dinner, and then went to bed. The next day, it was beautiful outside. It was warm and sunny, and it seemed so unique from the usual days. I thought this would be the perfect day for a walk.

We walked through the forest, on the beach, and went in a cave for a break. What was weird about the cave was the wall seemed a little bit soft. I was bored, so I tried ramming it. I know, that's probably  stupid thiong to do. The wall completely broke down, revealing a secret tunnel. Not so stupid now, huh?

“Oh my god! C’mon guys, let’s go take a look!”

“Wait a minute,” Kyo took a stick and lit it on fire, and he took a couple extra sticks just in case this one burnt out.

“Okay, now we can go.”

We walked through the tunnel, and something seemed strange about this. I saw something shining in the wall. As we went on, I saw more and more stones shining brightly in the walls. We finally reached a dead end, and at the end, there was a crystal three times my size! I walked up to it, and then poked at it. When I poked it, it changed from a clear color to grey. I poked it again, and it turned yellow. I poked it again, but nothing happened. Ryoma walked up to me saying, “Maybe it only changes based on your mood. Try relaxing, and then poking it.”

I calmed down, and then poked the crystal. This time it was green. Apparently each color meant a certain mood. Grey was probably surprised, yellow was happy, and green was relaxed.

“Whoa! That is so epic! Why don’t you guys give it a try?”

“All right, let me try.”

Kyo walked up, trying to think of a memory that made him have a certain emotion. He seemed to look angry, so maybe he thought of the time he fought with Ryoma. When he touched the crystal, it turned a dark red. Kyo turned around and said, “Well, red is definitely for anger. Why don’t you try dude?”

“Alright, why not?”

Ryoma walked up and thought of a different memory. I heard something that sounded like crying coming from him. I walked up, and saw he had a tear in his eye. I thought he was thinking about the time where I almost drowned in the stream, and when I woke up, both of them were crying their eyes out. When Ryoma touched the crystal, it turned blue. Since Ryoma was crying, I said for him, “Well, blue is definitely for sad.”

We played around for a little while and then discovered what colors meant what emotion. I wanted to remember what the colors meant, just in case I ever came back, so I asked if someone had a pen. Surprisingly, Kyo had one in his pocket, and I wrote on my arm a chart of the colors.

The Color Chart

Yellow: Happy

Blue: Sad

Green: Relaxed

Purple: Moody

Red: Angry

Pink: In love

Black: Scared

White: At peace

Grey: Surprised

Orange: Confused

I wrote the chart down on my arm, and was going to carve it into a piece of wood once we got back to the shelter. We left the cave, but on the way out, we took a couple jewels for ourselves.

We finally arrived back at the shelter, and I was carving the color chart into a piece of wood, just like I said I would. Kyo seemed to have gotten lucky, because he took a jewel that changed color every time you touched it. He was playing around with it after he turned it into a necklace, and Ryoma seemed to be examining the jewels, trying to see how much they may be worth.

We had to go fish for dinner, and we were able to lie down and stare at the stars as we fished, considering how late it was. Since we weren’t catching much, I told the guys I was going to go get some roots, so one of them had to watch my pole.

While I was gathering roots, I felt like I wanted to go check the crystal we found in the cave to see if maybe I was in love. Who knows, it might be possible. Kyo discovered that mood's color. I thought of a plan that in the morning, I would tell the guys I was going to the hot spring, but really, I’ll run to the cave just to check what the crystal says. Then I’ll go to the hot spring because it feels so good.
