Dear Valentine,
It's been years
And some of us haven't had a proper celebration not even the thought of wearing red,
the flowers, gifts
The smiles,
I've heard people say love walks on this day,
They say the universe pull dots together spelling out
l. o. v. e.
stars shooting as far as they can,
the sun at its best behavior and the Moon saves up power all day for the night,
Roses are the favorite of many same as chocolates.
But Forgive our perception of love
As we make our wishes on this Valentine day,
We wish for a love so fine
With kisses, hugs
and pure joy.
We want to give ourselves to someone and still feel safe,
let our hearts skip a thousand beats with assurance that we can trust our heart with someone else.
We want to know what it's like
to say to someone how much we love them, without messing things up.
Tell them how really we miss them for little things,
Make them understand that our love has no competition and that they don't have to worry.
We want to dance
To our favourite songs, slowly with our hands wrapped around their neck,
and their hands around our waist slowly pulling us close to them while we feel the weight of their eyes boring down through us.
We want to feel our legs go weak from just a kiss,
want to lose appetite when they smile.
We want to walk around holding hands with them
The little squeezes
The swings
The in between smiles
We just want to feel them all.
We want to feel their chest press hard in ours as they give us the I miss you hugs,
so tight like they never going to let me go.
We want to fall so hard in love
And for once, not think about
The hurt
The arguments
The ignores
But just.....
The itches
The craves
The I miss yous
The I want yous
The l love yous
The whispers of happy endings
For all empty and broken hearts
So dear Valentine all we want is
just to feel love and live love.
