Chapter 3-Makeout session

Ruby's POV

" I know Cara, but you know how she is. If i wouldn't have listened to her she would have probably not let me sleep in peace." I sighed adjusting my glasses.

"Fine! Man i hate her. A single thought of her makes the rest of my day bad. I mean it's like she's the reincarnation of Lucifer." My only friend chuckles earning a glare from me.

I sighed thinking of my encounter with Ryan Miller as we walk to our last class. We went our separate ways when we reached the end of the hallway.

I walked into class deep in thought of how I'm going to face Ryan and his friend after school. Just thinking of it is giving me a headache.

"Why are you late?" A voice said snapping me out of my thoughts.

I looked up to see a confused Professor Soto studying me with curious eyes. The entire class is staring at me. Some giggling and some passing rude remarks.

"Is goody two shoes going astray?" I hear Maddie's high pitched voice from the back of the class.

I looked down suddenly feeling self conscious because of the number of eyes watching me. My hand started to feel clammy as my heart beats erratically.

"S...s..sss..sir,i...I'm s..sorry. I w..was...." I stuttered thinking of an excuse for why I'm late.

How did I actually get late?

"Get settled down. I'm letting you off the hook cuz this is the first time you came late." professor Soto said turning his back to me to continue with his lesson.

My eyes searched for a place to sit to see the only available seat is the one next to germy Jeremy. With a small frown on my face, I walked towards the desk and sat next to him.

He gave me a toothy grin and I returned it with a smile not reaching my ears.

"For this semester, you all will be assigned with a project to..."  Professor paused with a frown on his face.

"Ryan Miller do you mind postponing your make out session till after class?" He glared at him crossing his hands over his chest.

"I'm talking to you Ryan!"

"Ryan!!!" Professor said when he failed to acknowledge him.

Ryan slightly pushed the girl he was making out with and looked over to where the professor was.

"You were saying?"he threw his arm over the girl's shoulder nonchalantly.

Professor huffed running his hand over his Baldhead.

"Ruby"

Due to the sudden call of my name, my head darts towards the teacher with a worried expression on my face.

"y..yes sir"

"Switch seats with her" he said gesturing to the girl next to Ryan.

"But sir..." The girl complained standing up, causing Ryan's arm to fall from her shoulder.

My eyes widened as I take in what the professor said realising whom I have to sir next to.

I slowly turned just in time to meet Ryan's burning gaze.

I visibly gulped as i watched his annoyed expression.

I was sweating like a damn whore in church.

"Now!" The professor said through gritted teeth.

I gathered my stuff and made my way to the seat at the back just as the girl walks past me slightly bumping into me causing me to stagger backwards.

I turned to look at her when I regained balance to find her scrunching her nose at Jeremy.

"We're not gonna spend the whole day waiting for you to get to your seat,you know that right? Professor said raising an eyebrow at me.

I scurried to my new seat and sat down.

Mr Soto continued explaining our project while I uncomfortably stare at my fumbling fingers on my thighs,slightly brushing over the bruise from earlier today.

I could feel Ryan's burning gaze on me.

Oh lord please bring this class to an end I prayed.

Just as I bent over to pick my pen from the floor,Ryan did the same and our heads bumped into one another's.

"Ow!"

"Shit!"

Ryan and I said at the same time.

"What the fuck! Are you trying to kill me or something? He said rubbing the spot on his forehead.

"I'm sooo sorry. It was an accident. I didn't know you were going to tie your shoelace. I'm sorry. I wanted to get my pen. I'll get you an ointment for the bruise. Please don't kill me." I rushed in one breathe then raised my arm in a motion of surrender with my eyes shut.

I waited for the punch to come but it never did. Slowly opening my eyes I saw Ryan watching me with amusement in his eyes but he quickly masks it when our eyes meet.

"I don't give a flying fuck. Stay out of my way! And if that was your way of avenging what happened in the hallway then you're surely going to get yourself hurt! He said causing chills to course through me.

I shivered at his tone and quickly looked away.

The bell rang signaling the end of school.

I watched as Ryan slung his bag over his shoulder muttering profanities under his voice as he walked out of class.

I stood up carrying my extra heavy backpack and walk out of class.

I stopped by my locker to pick up some books that I had to take home for assignments. After i finished gathering the books I needed in one arm,just as I was about to leave, my phone rang.

I reached into my pocket pulling it out instantly regretting looking at the screen. It was my step mom's call.

I answered it. Just as I was about to say 'hello', her voiced boomed from the phone making me draw it away from my face just to make sure it wasn't on speakerphone.

"You better get your ass home in an hour or I swear girl I'm going to reduce you to ashes"

Woah! She's in a pretty bad mood today. Not that she's nicer to me or something. She just isn't this bad, though she's the reincarnation of Lucifer.

Cara's words.

Not mine.

"I'll be th....."

She hangs up before I could finish my sentence. I sighed and walked out of school.

As I was about to get into the bus, a firm hand grabbed my arm and forcefully turned me causing me to hit my face against a wall.

A hard wall.

A broad hard wall.

A broad hard wall of muscles.

I looked up to see Ryan and a smirking Jason standing next to him.

What's Ruby going to do?
•If she stays, the reincarnation of Lucifer will get super mad and will be waiting for her when she gets home.
•If she leaves, Jerk and his friend Jerky will do God knows what to her when she comes to school the next day.
