(A/N) : sooo I've never written for Hercules so I'm so sorry if this is bad and lookie I'm alive
There's gotta be a reason that I'm here on earth, he thought to himself as he walked through the cool crisp starlit night. He had just left for an evening stroll to go to a very close friends house and of course this is when his brain had to get philosophical. He just wanted to enjoy a walk to a friend's house to watch a movie or whatever she wanted him over for. Recently he's been kind of down and (y/n) has some sort of way to tell when he's in a funk, so that's probably why she invited him over. He was glad to have such a close and wonderful friend. The cool air felt nice on his face as he got even deeper into thought as he got closer to the cozy home.
He also thought about why she may have wanted him to come over. Was it to watch a movie, or possibly she invited there other friends as well and they were going to have a game night. It's happened before with her, she likes to have surprise game nights. It made her friends happy so that's why she did it. That thought made him smile, how sweet and kind she was all the time. That's why they were alway so close. It's part of the reason why it also made it hard for him to believe that she's still single. She complains about it often but if she wanted she could be with whoever she wished.
She couldn't wait for Hercules to get to her house, she realized that he's been kind of down and she really couldn't tell why but she had a thought. He'd been talking about how lonely he's been recently, and she thought he may just want some company. To be honest she's kinda been feeling lonely too but when she was with Herc it made her happy and feel a little less lonely. She hoped she did the same for him. So when they were texting earlier she couldn't help but invite him over, she was a little tempted to invite others but she rather just spend some one on one time with him.
She knew he didn't live too far so she had to plan something quick or just go with the flow, the latter option felt appropriate this time. Usually she was pretty good at planning in advance but she really didn't care tonight. But either way she knew she was going to sit on her porch on her cute rocking chair with a blanket and some tea as she waited for him to get there.
As Hercules got closer to the quaint home that (y/n) lived in he saw the lights on in the living room and on the porch where she was waiting, covered in a blanket. One that he actually made for her, it had a picture of all of them from a year ago. It was nice to see her use it as often as she does. When she looked up from her phone she saw him and smiled brightly at him as she waved. He chuckled a bit and smiled at her, he couldn't lie it was adorable how happy she was to see him.
"Herc! Hi! You want some tea?" She said as she got up from her rocking chair, clearly happy to see him. He chuckles a bit and gives an obvious nod as he gets up to the porch, she in turn grabs her blanket and tea and heads inside quickly to make him some tea. He follows after and shuts the door, her house was always so warm and welcoming just like she was, this was definitely what he needed to get out of his funk.
"So what did you have planned for tonight, movie, awkwardly loud karaoke, or something else?" he plops himself down on the couch and looks over his shoulder at (y/n) who was bringing him some tea. Which, presumably was of course his favorite, because she knew from all the other times he was here. She handed him the warm mug as she smiled brightly at him, finding the inquisitive and happy look on his face adorable.
"Whichever you want, I don't have anything planned this time," she came around the couch and set her mug down on the little coffee table before plopping down next to him on the couch.
"Why don't we just talk?" Herc looked over to her with a small soft smile, it made her smile in turn. Sometimes it was hard for her not to just tell him but she didn't because she didn't want to lose her closest friend.
"Talk?"
"Yeah"
"Sounds good... did you have a certain topic in mind?" she asks as grabs her mug to drink some of her tea. He nods a bit and sips his tea, a small smile coming to his face as he does. She smiles in turn glad that he likes his tea. She knew he would cause she's made it like this for him often and everytime he has enjoyed it.
"Yeah... well more of a sort of.. I was thinking as I came here and well why are we here?"
"What?"
"Why are we here on earth? there's gotta be a reason," he chuckles a bit and sets down his mug " and I know what you're going to say and I think being philosophical is necessary sometimes, it's not dangerous," it sounded playful but his first question still stands... Why are we here on earth? (Y/N) had an idea what the reason is. It's to be happy to enjoy the short life we have, to make the most of life.
"Well it's to find what makes you happy... at least that's how I see it... that question is a bit hard to answer if you look too deep into it, what's your thought behind it?"
"I wasn't quite sure.. But I'll play off of yours... isn't there one person that usually makes you happy?"
"Yea.. are you saying that life is about finding the one that makes you happy?"
"Yes"
"Well then I found my reason on earth, the person that makes me happy,"
"Who is it?" he looks to her and smiles as he asks. This is her chance and she's not going to give it up.
"You are my reason."
(A/N) : sssooooo uh I've been dead for a while and I hope this makes up for it in some way
