"Savannah!" I heard my mom yelling as she came through the front door
"Yeah?"
The door to my room opened.
"Honey you need to pack." My mom had a suitcase in her hand. I could tell something was wrong, her voice was filled with emotion and she had tears in her eyes.
"Mom why? What did dad do?" My parents relationship has not been the best because my dad always goes on business trips and leaves me and mom behind for weeks at a time.
"Pack." My mom just stared at me. She opened her mouth to say something but shut it and started crying.
"Shh" I said as I embraced her. "Okay I'll pack." With that she walked out of my room but I could still hear her crying. I trust my mom with my life, I mean she raised me all by her self basically.
I started packing.
*****After she finished packing*****
I put my stuff in the back of my moms silver 2003 Honda civic. I walked back to my room to get the last thing, my mirror. I stared at it, my mom gave it to me with I was 6 years old.
*Flashback*
My friend Bella had come over in the most beautiful ballet dancer outfit I had ever seen. It was a purple leotard with rhinestones on the front with a purple tutu and white tights. I asked her if sometime I could borrow it, her reply was simple. "Savannah you will never be pretty enough to wear this." After she left I broke down into tears.
"Shh honey what's wrong?" My mom said embracing me and comforting me. I told her the whole story. My mom walked up into out attic and brought down a beautiful full length mirror. She told me it was her grandmother's and she passed it down to my mother's mother and then she gave it to me.
"Look in it." She told me, I look at at my self. "What do you see?"
"An ugly girl." I replied bearing my head into her chest and started crying again.
"No honey do you want to know what I see?" I shook my head no but knew she was going to tell me anyways. "I see a beautiful girl not only on the outside but here." She said putting her hand over my heart.
After that Bella didn't matter anymore. I had the best mom I could ever ask for.
*End of flashback*
I looked in it one last time then picked it up and put it in the car. I hopped in the car and my mom started the engine.
"Where to?" I asked her.
"How about L.A.?"
