"Happy valentine's day!" Winona giggled, running up to Ruth and throwing her arms around her, engulfing the female in a hug. The taller female staggered back slightly, but happily wrapped her arms around the blonde in return, a light grin gracing her lips. Winona's face was flushed a light pink hue as she relished in her girlfriend's warm embrace for a few more moments, that caused her heart to throb in a building euphoria. Ruth gave an amused chuckle and rolled her eyes, gently pulling away from the hug and resorting in intertwining their hands,

"Good to see you're happy to see me!" The dark haired female jested, a starlight smile gracing her features as they turned from the bus stop and began wandering down the main street, heading for their favourite coffee shop. Currently, it was early evening and the two women were on their break before having to head back to Fairmount to clock in for nightshift. Valentine's just had to land on a Thursday, this year. Winona had offered to meet Ruth at the bus stop that was closest to the city centre, due to wanting to go home first and dress up just a little bit. It seemed like she wanted to impress Ruth, whom of which had brought her change of clothes to work with her, so that she was not just going on a date in her uniform.

No, Ruth wanted to impress Winona just as much.

So, now dressed stylishly in high-waisted black jeans and a long sleeved, crisp white blouse, Ruth felt comfortable and confident.

Winona was barely able to take her eyes off the other. She was ethereal, her dark haired tied back into a messy bun and her glittering eyes reflecting her smile- there was not a more accurate image of heaven that the world could offer to the blonde, she believed.

In Ruth's eyes, Winona was a blessing. Wearing a pale blue knitted jumper and dark grey skinny jeans, the taller female could so very easily imagine two feathery, white angel wings elegantly extending from her back. Her golden coloured hair and bright eyes just added to the fact that she was the textbook definition of an angel.

God knows, Ruth had been so lucky to have met Winona.

"So, to the coffee shop?" Winona questioned, lightly swinging her arm so that Ruth's arm also gently swung with hers; after all, their hands were intertwined as they walked. Ruth gave a nod,

"Yes, bomboncita." Ruth responded coolly, as her girlfriend blinked and tilted her head in slight confusion. Adorable to the highest degree.

"What does that mean?" Winona questioned, a light smile pulling at her lips as they walked down to the coffee shop through the busy crowds that dotted the streets. Ruth gave a light smirk in response and gave a shrug of her shoulders,

"It's a term of affection. Means 'sweetie' in Spanish." She explained, not shy at all. Ruth was bi-lingual, having been born in Madrid and then moved to America at a young age, she was raised speaking both Spanish and English. Winona was, however, not aware of this and was taken by complete surprise- it warmed her heart and caused her to lightly giggle, gaze averted to the ground. It was beautifully sweet that Ruth had already given her a nickname, but of course Winona wasn't going to say that out loud. It would be embarrassing!

Now approaching the coffee shop, Ruth held the door open for the shorter female to walk through first, and simply followed after her to a free table, "What would you like? I'll pay!" Winona mused happily, as Ruth sat down at the table. Eyes widening slightly in shock, the dark haired female shook her head,

"No no! I'll pay, Winona-"

"Ruth, I'm going to pay. You can't stop me." The blonde interjected, "An Americano with a little bit of milk?" She questioned, much to the other female's amusement. Ruth shook her head lightly as Winona got her purse out of her bag,
