Arisu remained silent ever since Tatsumi brought her back to the mansion. There was no fuss, no rebellion. Sunako was made aware of her activities during her little outside expedition with Tatsumi.

"She really is one strange individual," Sunako said. Tatsumi stood by her, serving her blood. "Very inconsistent and at times unpredictable," she continued on.  "What will you have me do with her?" Tatsumi asked. Sunako took a sip from her drink. "Keep a close watch on her. It'd be too bad for us to lose a jinrou, after all, your species is very rare," she looked up at Tatsumi. "And don't worry, she'll come to understand our ways."

Tatsumi sighed as he continued to monitor the silent jinrou. He had almost missed the times she used to annoy him. Almost. Sunako had conversations with her. One sided conversations. She shared her past, knowledge and books. It started when Arisu paid frequent visits to the library.

All seemed to be going well. More shiki were being made and the human population was diminishing, that is until war between the living and the undead broke out. It soon became more of a slaughter than war as the humans overpowered the shiki. Fires lit up the night sky as the villagers fed the bodies of their victims to it. Screams of the undead were heard as the the remaining villagers hunted them down. Some tried to escape but it was futile and so was resistance.

Arisu yawned as she watched from afar. She sneered with disgust at the sight before her. "Humans are the true monsters here," she muttered. Even though the shiki before them used be beloved villagers whom they mourned for, it didn't stop them from killing them. "Sunako's right I guess, death really is a terrible thing. Those poor fools, they suffer death twice and the second is by the hands of their loved ones," Arisu thought back to Tooru and the nurse.

Once surveillance on her had lessened, Arisu had bit more freedom. She had gone to visit Tooru on the very night hell broke loose in the village. "Tooru, we have to leave. The villagers will be here," she urged him. Tooru looked at her with sad eyes, "I can't leave her here. I'm.....I'm tired. I'm sick of this. I never asked for this to happen. I-" Arisu cut him off by grabbing the collar of his shirt, pulling him down to her eye level. "Yes or no? Are you coming?" Arisu felt disappointed as he kept silent. "I guess it's a no,"she frowned at him.

"I don't even know why I like him," Arisu mumbled to himself.
