but she tastes so sweet, and when she's close to me she turns pink. she asks me why i draw circles on her skin. but instead of an answer i ask her back with a question,
"why are you always sleeping on my bed?"

jennie puckered her lips, carefully applying on the red lipstick to finish the look she prepared for tonight.
she was wearing an off-shoulder dress in a darker shade of blue, that ends just right above her knees. and on her feet are a pair of white louboutins. it wasn't anything too extravagant, but she made sure that underneath would be something special.
standing up from her seat, she gives herself one last look before grabbing her coat and heading downstairs where lisa would be waiting.
the younger woman owns a black and white plymouth fury, what could make her look more of a womanizer than that? lisa was a romantic in every way except for the fact that she rarely speaks her feelings out. in which jennie was the exact opposite of.
but they didn't mind. it was clear enough that they were into each other more than they'd admit.
"hey,"
"hey." they both smiled and checked each other out shamelessly. for a second, jennie felt like a teenager from a very cliché and corny romcom movie of the 90s, but is she complaining? she wouldn't even try.
lisa stretched her arm out offering a hand to the girl in front of her. quickly, jennie accepts it, walking over until lisa pulled her into her arms and kissed her just right there and then. although taken off guard, jennie soon melts into the kiss that got deeper as it passed.
she gently pushes lisa back, resting their foreheads against one another slightly out of breath, "are you sure you still want to go out tonight?" lisa playfully asks her, but she knows beneath that— this girl was definitely hoping for a "no" as an answer.
"yes, and you definitely messed up my lipstick so no kisses till the end of this date." lisa finally lifts her gaze just to land them again on her lips which was like jennie said, was smudged with red pigment.
she lets her fix it for a moment, only to plant a kiss on jennie's lips for the last time making the both of them laugh. lisa opened the door for her, as she stepped inside the automobile, and so their night begins.
—
when the car finally stopped, jennie turns her face to lisa. confused and a little bit ridiculed of the situation.
"why are we at your place?" she wanted to laugh, feeling like she got tricked into one of manoban's traps again. she couldn't understand just yet, but it tickles her curiosity to why. something she's bound to know.
lisa smiles at her knowingly, stepping out of her car and walking to the other side for jennie. it was more of a habit now than something she does to impress the older woman. but if she had to do that for the rest of her life she'd love to.
"you know if you wanted me to move in with you, you could've just said so." jennie teased, getting out of the car and straightening her dress.
"you will, after this." it was all that came out from lisa's mouth but for a moment their gazes were held at halt.
jennie could no longer keep track of how many times the blonde took her by surprise with her action and remarks. and this is what drove her crazy about lisa, she was always in for some kind of sweet uncertainty, a kind that takes her to the edge but nonetheless, the feeling of safety would always envelope her.
