I stirred in my sleep, a loud thud coming from the side of the bed. I rolled over on to my side, cuddling myself up more in to the fluffy duvet cover to protect myself from the harsh winter morning air, and half opened my eyes.
"Seokminie, what are you doing?" I whined, quietly, my words half slurring together due to my sleepy state.
"(Y/n), you should go back to sleep, it's 5:30AM." He shuffled over, only in his boxers and a t shirt before leaning over to press a gentle kiss to my head, playing with my hair. "I need to get to training."
I opened my eyes fully and took in his appearance properly, dark purple crescents were under his soft eyes, indicating how tired he was from balancing school and the long hours of strenuous training, the few hours of sleep no longer helping. I brought an arm out from my cocoon and lifted my hand to his hair which was still a fluffy brown nest on the top of his head and his arms shook slightly underneath him as he leant in to my touch.
"You need to stay here and sleep more, you're struggling," I pulled him back down on to the bed and pulled some duvet back over him.
"I can't, I need to make sure I'm perfect for debut. I'm fine, I promise."
"Lee Seokmin, don't lie to me. You're not going anywhere," I pulled myself to lay on top of him, a leg each side of him, my arms above his head and my own head buried in to the crook of his knock, pinning him down so he could no longer move. Silence filled the room before he huffed, signalling that I had won the argument as he wrapped his arms around my waist.
"Just this once."
After a couple of hours of sleep I awoke at midday and began carefully removing myself from Seokmin's arms. I successfully managed to not disturb his peaceful sleep as I lifted myself slowly from the bed, covering him with the duvet that had sheltered us from the cold. It was only when I gently leant over to kiss his forehead that his eyes fluttered open, flashing me a tired, toothy smile and propped himself up to meet my lips in a small peck.
"You look a lot healthier now," I giggled, poking his cheeks.
"Thank you for convincing me to take the day off, I didn't realise how much I needed the few extra hours of sleep."
I grabbed a set of spare clothes that I keep at his house just for these rare occasions and threw them on as he slowly did the same, I padded over to him and stood on my tiptoes to be face to face, wrapping my arms loosely around his neck.
"Let's go somewhere, we haven't been able to go out anywhere since your schedule has been packed." He softly pushed me back down to my regular height before kissing me once more on the forehead then the cheek and agreed with me.
I took his hand and tugged him silently down the stairs where we were greeted by his dad, I felt Seokmin's body tense slightly as he eyed his disapproving guardian in the pathway of the exit. It seemed luck wasn't on his side as the creepy steps seemed to alarm Mr Lee, his hand shot to his chest and he whirled around to face the noise.
"It's midday, shouldn't you be at training?" Mr Lee questioned as he recovered from his apparent heart attack. I squeezed his hand reassuringly as a sign to answer the question in some way, panicking as I didn't want Seokmin to get in trouble.
"It's a Sunday... we don't train of Sundays?" The lie came out as more of a question yet Mr Lee seemed to believe it and carried on into the kitchen where I assume he was making lunch.
We both let out a silent sigh of relief and carried on towards my car where we both got in and put on our seatbelts, I turned on the engine and pulled out onto the main road as Seokmin turned on the radio to listen to Super Junior, dancing exaggeratedly in his seat to Sorry Sorry.
