Building one-by-one forts is a key to winning a build fight. Build up really tall, to get highground on your opponent, then jump down. If your opponent has trapped themselves in a box, press or click edit, and instantly do an emote. This hides that you want to edit their wall. Then, quickly edit and shoot to get the perfect no-scope or shotgun.

An easy tactic, but an efficient one. If the player builds upwards, knock down their structure to hopefully eliminate them on their way down. If the play does not die, try to laser them, with, as recommended here, a white,green or blue AR and you should be fine.
