[A.N.-  Hey guys! This is my first story here on Wattpad. I would like to put a few disclaimers here. I do not own any of the pictures I post in this story unless otherwise noted. The cover photo is one I found on google and thought it matched up pretty well with what I thought Alaric looked like.

Okay, now that the boring stuff is out of the way, Thank you to anyone who reads this! It is much appreciated. Please feel free to comment on the story, but I'd appreciate it if you keep it nice. Remember, this is my first public story on the internet. Anyways, I'm sure you're eager to get to the story, so I won't bother you with my ramblings anymore. Slán!]

A door jangled. A brown haired human with thick-rimmed glasses stepped into the crowded, cozy atmosphere of "The Witch's Brew". Up at the front, a middle aged, pretty woman was swirling around, taking orders in a blue and green dress with silver sparkles on it here and there. Her neat bun was coming apart and her top hat was starting to slip off. But her smiled was radiant. She was in her element. When she heard the door she looked up, and her smile grew bigger. "Alaric! Come over here!" The teenager obeyed and was swept up into a huge bear hug.

Alaric chuckled, "Long time, no see Seraphina." He extracted himself from the hug. "Finally have a bit of money to get that Caramel Latte I've been craving lately. Mind if I set an order?"

Seraphina smiled and flew behind the counter, quickly making the drink and then grabbed a chocolate chip cookie before setting them before him. "It's on the house this time." She winked. "You're gonna want to save that money, 'cause I've found something that might be of your interest..."

Alaric raised an eyebrow. "Oh?" Seraphina slid a piece of paper in front of him.

Seraphina said, "I found this taped to my door this morning. I took it down because I didn't want anyone getting a chance to check it out before you."

Alaric nodded. "Thanks! You should get back to work though. Don't want to keep the other customers waiting!"

Seraphina gasped, "Ohmygoodnessyou'reright!" And she left in a twirl of blue fabric.

Alaric studied the paper in front of him. It was yellow, with fancy writing on it. Actually, as he looked closer, it was handwritten! It was talking about something called a "share house". Alaric's interest grew when he saw the price-per-month. It said that the applicant simply had to do household chores rather than pay money. Alaric took his coffee and headed out for the library, waving to Seraphina as he left. 'A share house huh? This... could be interesting.' So, he headed for a pay phone. He slid in the quarters and hit the numbers written on the flyer.

Riiiiing! Riiiiing! Riii-

The phone picked up quickly to the surprise of Alaric.

"Wazzup? This is Shadow-moon house." The voice that picked up was clearly young male.

"Um, h-hi. I'm looking for... for more information about the share-house..?"

"Sweet! Already! What's your name dude?"

"Um, A-Alaric. Alaric Lionheart." Alaric cringed. His last name always made people skeptical.

"Sweet! Cool name! Alrighty Alaric, we can set up a trial run for you here. When are you available to pack up everything and come here?"

'This is going way too fast, but...' "I can be there tomorrow... but I'd need the address..."

"No sweat dude! We'll pick you up! Just give me an address."

Alaric quickly filled the person in on where he would be tomorrow.

"Alrighty! Can't wait to meet a new member of the family! I'll be bringing a friend, so don't be alarmed. So I'll catch you tomorrow! Ciao!" The guy hung up.

Alaric stood there, listening to the tone as he stared out into the streets. There was no going back...

[A.N. I'm super sorry this was so short! I'll try and post another chapter as soon as possible, I promise! Until then though, comment your opinion and feel free to throw ideas at me for future chapters! Anyways, Slán!]
