one (pt 1)

"So us going out, is just in spite of your parents?"

   Flynn Gordon's parents were two of the most homophobic and unapproving humans in history. They'd force the nineteen year old to do every form of "cleansing" there was to treat the disease they claimed he had, being homosexual. Flynn was already at his wits end with them. Even though he had been out of his parents home for about four years, they continued to plague his life. He had attempted to cut them off more times than he could remember. As he sat in his small apartment, sulking about his parents, a small vibration came from his pocket. He picked up his phone to see that his friend, Ezekiel, had texted him. A bright idea suddenly popped into his head. A sly smirk placed itself on his lips as he texted back.
    Ezekiel-  Hey Flynn!
   Flynn- Hey Ezekiel, I've got something to ask of you.
Ezekiel- Uhmm, that kinda depends on what it is man.
Flynn- Well, we all know how my parents are pieces of shit, and I thought of a way to get some enjoyment out of their anger. Since I've never been with someone, well at least to their knowledge, they haven't had any shock like that.
Ezekiel- Sooo, what's your idea?
Flynn- I was gonna ask you if you'd go out with me, not for real lmao! Just for a 'Fuck you' to my parents I guess.
  Ezekiel- So us going out, is just in spite of your parents?
   Flynn- Yes! It'll be hilarious!
    Ezekiel- Uh, I guess that's fine with me.
     Flynn- I knew I could count on you! Thanks man! We'll talk about this later, it'll be great!

  Ezekiel sighed as he threw down his phone in embarrassment. His hands rose up to his face, covering his cheeks as they heated up. With the knowledge of his admiration for Flynn, he quickly regretting accepting the invitation. This whole idea would make him happy, if it weren't for the obliviousness of the other boy. Ezekiel hadn't came out to Flynn yet, making another reason for why he probably asked him, instead of a straight friend. The regret grew as he continued to think about his friend.
