(Cole's POV)

I opened the window for Jay as usual, but he never came. Morro took Jay's seat beside me. Was that why Jay didn't come to class?

No, Jay wouldn't not come to class because someone was in his seat. He's not like that.

It's something more.

(Magic Time Skip to Lunch)

(3rd Person POV)

The bell rang signalling that it was lunch "Remember will be we have guests from the Ninja Academy. They will be looking for new students to take into the Academy." The teacher explained in his monotone voice. The students started to whisper excitedly. "There will be no other classes today." The students cheered. "The rest of the day will be used for warmups and the competition. You are dismissed"

The class got up from their seats and rushed to the door. Excited to start the lunch break and hopefully see Jay again Morro rushed to the door first.

"Morro!" Cole called after him. Morro turned around to face Cole and his friends. "Where are you going? He asked. "Uhhhh... I-I think I left something outside. I'll meet you guys in the cafeteria!" Morro said and rushed out the door without listening to Cole's response.

Cole just shrugged it off and headed to the cafeteria. "So Cole, where's your friend, Jason?" Zane asked. "Oh, I'm not really sure. I haven't seen him since this morning." "He's going to miss tryouts!" Nya exclaimed. "Since when do you care about Jason?!" Kai asked/screamed at his sister. "He's my friend! I know your over protective, but now I'm not allowed to be worried about my friends!?" She shouted back. "Sorry sis. Instincts, you know?" "Yeah, yeah. I know." She gave her brother a playful punch in the shoulder.

(Nya's POV)

I wondered where Jason was. Cole said that he would be here for a few days. But he wasn't here for the past two weeks. "Where's your friend?" Zane asked Cole. "Oh, I'm not really sure. I haven't seen him since this morning." Cole replied. "He's going to miss tryouts!" I exclaimed. "Since when do you care about Jason?!" Kai screamed at me. "He's my friend! I know your overprotective, but now I'm not allowed to be worried about my friends!?" I yelled back. He was so overprotective of me. I'm only one year younger than him!

"Sorry sis. Instincts, you know?" "Yeah, yeah. I know." I lightly punched him in the shoulder, earning a small laugh from him.

We pushed open the double doors to the lunch hall. I looked around to see if there were any open tables. I spotted the round one we sat at yesterday. "There!" I shouted. We all ran to the table and shoved our bags onto it laughing. I even saw Cole jump over one of the tables scaring some kids.

"Cole!" I shouted at him. "You just scared fourth graders!" He turned around to look at what he had done and started laughing at their shocked expressions. "S-Sorry Nya. Their faces are just so f-funny!" He said trying to catch his breath. I gave him a glare and sat down as he, Kai, and Zane went to go get lunch. I stayed to make sure no one took our table.

I made sure to tell my brother what I wanted before he headed off. If I don't, I end up with something that looks like is came from underground, and tastes like it too. I looked up from the schoolwork I had gotten out to see them coming back. I shoved my work into my bag and made room for them.

"Doing work I see sis" Kai teased. "Says the person who never does work." I shot back. Cole and Zane laughed at my response, while Kai looked embarrassed. I giggled and ruffled his hair.

"DON'T TOUCH MY HAIR!" He yelled, so loud I swear the ground shook. Everyone was use to Kai's outbursts and just continued what ever they were doing. Only the new kids were scared. I was shocked, but I heard Zane and Cole try to stifle their laughter, but failed. We started to talk about the academy and the moves and techniques we were going to use in the tryouts.

We were so distracted that we didn't see a specific seventh grader walk towards us.
