CHAPTER 5 *Unedited

V

Jai

Jai stared across at the brunette who had captivated his mind and soul in only a matter of minutes. She was the main topic of his mind up for discussion every day, night, hour, minute and second. Her hazel eyes were pure liquid honey and tugged at his core.

Violet was simple yet beautiful.

She stirred the sugar in concentration in her coffee and looked up shooting him a warm smile.

Jai shot her another smile; a smile which would have had many women at his knees and begging, but her reaction was plain.

"So are you new around here?" He asked her shooting another warm smoldering smile.

"Yes, I moved in a few days ago. I got the job and decided I should just move down here, besides it's a beautiful place," Her voice was musical and tugged at the veins of his heart.

These feelings were refreshing.

"Just as beautiful as you," He stated and her mouth hung open. He shook his head. Normal women would have had a ready snarky flirty comment to shoot back, but the way her perfectly thick brows rose made him second-guess his flirty personality.

"Excuse me?" She snapped not at all impressed by his comment.

"Uhm... Just telling my friend that you're beautiful," He shot her a nervous smile and sagged into his seat in defeat. This woman was hard and wouldn't let anyone in.

Silence fell upon the two as Jai watched her eat her cheese and onion sandwich in silence. She was beautiful, her hair was rich and he itched to lean in close to smell the sweet pine scent that drifted his way.

"Thank you for lunch," She nodded as she took a final sip from her tall glass of icy water. Her full heart shape lips fit perfectly against the glass. What if those lips were to sync against his.

"It was my pleasure," He stated as she rose from the chair giving him full view of her curvy body, which was wrapped in the simple hospital uniform.

He stood up alongside her and racked his brain to lure her in once again.

"So... Uhm I was thinking. Would you maybe want to meet again?"

"Do you believe in destiny?" She spoke softly, with a shining glint in her orbs.

He nodded to her question unsure of her words.

"Then destiny will decide when we meet next," She smiled at him, thanked him once again and left him with his mouth open in shock. She played his damn words on him.

He smiled at her ambitious personality chucking a few bills in the center of the table and left the small café with a deep smile carved in his once lifeless face.

His wolf yelped in happiness something he hadn't felt for over years and walked down the street in slice admiring the cool air and brisk air.

....

Violet Johnson

I shook my head as I returned to the large over towering city hospital, which I had familiarized myself with. It felt good sharing a lunch with someone. He words and his smirk pulled out a sense of brightness in me.

But he was a friend, a friend I wanted to keep forever. Maybe playing the destiny quote on him was the wrong thing to do. What if destiny had already decided this was the last time we would meet?
