A snake-like man stood before her, an unnerving smile on his face. She shivered, chills crawling up her spine like little ants. That man from before, who she knew not what to call, had left her at the entrance of a cave that was said to be one of the Sannin's hideouts. Her eyebrow twitched as she was looked over, being analyzed."Kukuku. What a fine specimen you are, hm?" he chuckled, a hand under his chin and the other across his chest. She bared her teeth in silence, hoping that she would be able to bear with this... person.
"Yes," she forced out, and all that she got herself was that mildly disturbing laugh from him. Her hands twitched into fists and her palm turned white from the pressure.
"Don't get too excited, now, the fun's just begun," he said maliciously, guiding her down the dimly lit hallway of the hideout.
She would sometimes choke on the inside as she heard the screams of agony from the barely silenced rooms, and people with horrendous features in open-air cages that weren't in any rooms. She felt dizzy in the head, and she scooted as far away from those places as possible.
An uncomfortable feeling bubbled up in her stomach and caught her throat, her breath hitching in her throat and her steps quickened. She felt a pair of eyes on her everywhere she went, yet she ignored them and stood tall despite not feeling like she could as much as the man in front of her did. Her eyes darted at the slightly cracked walls and her eyes narrowed, feeling like they were being watched from those little crevices. She dared not wrap her arms around herself, as it would be a sign of weakness, and continued, only looking straight. No other side would do. If she held her head high, then she wouldn't be able to see those poor people facing the oh-so-cruel horrors of the world.
But she soon remembered that she was no different, a person who killed people she was told to just because it was said to. She had no proper evidence of who she was killing and didn't have the time to find out if it was the truth.
Truly, she could slowly see the world she had thought to be so normal in a built in routine that she'd never given much thought to these things. These things that needed more attention than she'd ever given, too.
She was led into a room- or an office, you could say. It was pretty dark, with a large map on the wall behind the desk and several bookshelves on either side of the room. There was no window, and she was personally relieved at that fact. She didn't know what could be behind hose walls. The outside, or a miserable cage with equally miserable people inside. She shivered.
The snake-like man sat on the chair behind the desk, and motioned for her to sit across from it on one of the two chairs. At least he was goin to talk, and not get on with business immediately, she thought.
"You're not one to talk, hm?" he stated the obvious, and she nodded. She wouldn't want to make a person like him angry, never in a million years.
"Well, that is not an obstacle I would care about. Let's move on to business. You'll be training under me for quite the many years, more than 3, I suspect," he said with hidden interest. "And I presume you would want your full potential to bloom by then, so I expect you to be prepared for the worst."
She gulped, not exactly knowing what 'the worst' meant in his dictionary, but she kept her feelings shut and an aloof stare broke onto her face. The man briefly wondered her way before handing her a closed file. She took it, silently marveling at its pure black color. She attempted to open it when the Sannin clicked his tongue.
"Open it in your room, that's what I advise," he stated, and she paused to wonder why.
"Where is it, then?" she asked bluntly. He chuckled and gave her the directions.
"Right, end of the hall, turn left and take the first hallway to your left. Your room is the last one in that corridor. Remember it properly, since I won't be giving you directions all the time, you'll have to forcefully get used to it by then. If you get lost, then you're better of sleeping in the forest, no?" he smirked, and she sighed, exasperated.
"Yes, Orochimaru-sama." She bowed down and turned her back on him, heading towards the door and walking out the hallway, clicking it shut.
"Things will be...interesting, from now on, kukukuku," he laughed, getting back to work. After all, he did have a village to take care of.
He picked up a file and checked its contents, a gleam in his eyes as he scanned the information. Yes. This person would do, they would do well nicely in the future. A boy with glasses was on the picture, having a small smile but troubled eyes.
He would be a nice addition to the - albeit cramped - household.
