Y/n's eyes ran everywhere a silent scream came out of her mouth. She ducked under her self-made bed, her hands burned when she felt splinters on the dusty floor, her white dress was dirtied, her hair was raggid up. Y/n coughed inside the dusty attic, of the house that she lived in. She lived in the attic, she didn't have anything like a room or belongings, she had some cloth and a abandon jacket to use as a pillow and blanket, and she found a cot which her parents might have used when they were younger.
Y/n, who was only 11 years old hiding, held her breath, the smell of hay tickled her nose even though they had no hay, she looked around uner her cot, there were spiderwebs, dust, dirt, and sorrowness. She bit her lip hard for no noises to come out of herself, a tear ran down her smooth, dirtied, cheek as she remembered what caused for the monster to come after her. Her fingers cried in pain as she gripped the floor, don't breathe, Y/n reminded herself, don't breathe, the silence went loud and rigged in Y/n's ears. Her wings tensed up and wrapped Y/n's body like a supporting warm hug from a friend and her tail slowly swung back and forth like a swing for children. No, Y/n groped her own hair in devastation.
"Y/n, come out!" Her mother sang for her adopted daughter, "you can't hide forever! What are you going to do? You're worthless without me, you're a freak!" Don't listen, the mother's slow, heavy, footsteps could be heard dragging across the floor as it got closer and closer to the bed. Help, Y/n plead to the void in her head while the feeling in her stomach kept twisting then sending waves gave Y/n a headache. "Y/n.., I know you're under your under there." The voice grew cold, so did Y/n's blood after she said that, her mother's feet stood in front of the bed. Y/n started shaking and her tail stopped moving, her tail was frozen suddenly, a hand grabbed Y/n's arm and with great force her mother grabbed her from under the bed. The mother's grip left a bruise, she smirked at Y/n, her eyes grew large with terroir as she starred back to her mother. Please, Y/n begged to herself hoping somebody else could also hear her cries, not again."M-mom, I-I-" Y/n silenced herself as she saw her mother grow with sudden anger. Y/n's mother grabbed a chuck of her hair and started pulling Y/n out of her room, Y/n choked on her tears of pain. "Please," she whimpered out. Y/n's wings banged on the ground loudly in alert and her tail roared and cried, her wings tried to escape then batted around. The mother pulled Y/n and her hair out of the attic to the third floor of the house, where the bedrooms are.
"Ugh! Stop that, or I'll throw you off of the baloney!" And where the balcony is, Y/n stopped and flinched in fear at her mother's horror words. "You should be happy that I adopted you! Freak!" The mother spat at Y/n, she stopped by the her own room, the mother and father had separated bedrooms since they started fighting recently about money. Y/n's mother threw her onto her black, soft, fuzzy bed, "Stay here! Or I will hit you!" Y/n's mother ran out of the room in a hurry.
Y/n sat there, in horror of what to do, Y/n studied the room. The room was gray with a hit of dread in the air. The room had a black bed, gray walls, white carpet, white ceiling, a desk, a closet, a bathroom. The room looked like a normal room, everything in order, a few pictures here and there but one thing catched her eye, she had never seen it before. It was a deer skull with writing she couldn't read, big black, soulless, socket eyes, cracks everywhere like it was going to break but looks strong at the same time, small antlers which have must been a child deer, Y/n felt drawn to it. It was sitting on the mother's desk, her father was a hunter and had his own TV show. Y/n assumed it was something of the father's but why would something of the father's be in the mother's room if they were fighting?
Y/n looked back at the opened door, glared at the outside thinking of her mother. Y/n looked back at the deer skull it felt like time has slowed down, Y/n curiously hopped off of the bed and grabbed the deer skull off of the desk, like it was her own child, she creasedher thumb on the smooth hard part of the skull, the cheek. Wait, Y/n thought she snapped her head to the balcony that her mother had, Y/n glanced back at her wings, she starred at the room, the wooden, white, door then the deer skull. It made her feel confident and safe, Y/n looked around for a bag of something to take with her. Finally she found her mother's adventurer backpack, the mother was an explorer so they would go on trips to Paris, New York, Italy, and so much more but leaving Y/n alone at the house by herself, she didn't mind, she actually liked being alone. She unzipped the bag and set the skull right by the backpack, she was going to put other things in the bag, first. Y/n started taking things from the room of her mother's, Y/n found shoes, she took that, Y/n found a water bottle, she took that, she found a protection knife but looked as it could only cut rope, she took many things from her mother's room until the backpack was halfway full but not enough room for the deer skull. Y/n found two tight rubber bands on the mother's desk side of the room by the bed. The rubber bands was right by the skull, Y/n grabbed them quickly and she placed the skull on top of her head and strapped the skull onto herself so it wouldn't fall. The rubber bands was invisible after she was done, the skull's head fit perfectly onto Y/n's head, the snout stook out from the hesd, the big black eyes showed Y/n's eyes but the way that it was shaped looked like she was glaring at you. Y/n grabbed the backpack and pulled it onto her thin shoulders, then she started hearing footsteps coming closer and closer to the room, no, Y/n cried, no more! Y/n sprinted into the opened balcony, where the wind was ice cold and pleading for her to go back inside. Y/n looked down and her mouth dropped, it felt like she was on top of the world, Y/n felt nervous but brave then and there.
"Y/N!!" Her mother's voice screamed her name, Y/n snapped her head to the voice the mother was standing there with a broken glass bottle in her left hand, her mother was clearly drunk. "Y/n! What the hell are you doing!?" Y/n took a step back, "you wouldn't.." Y/n took another fearful step "stop!" Y/n turned her heel onto her mother and grabbed the frozen railing from the balcony taking a long, cold, shaky breath and got onto the railing trying not to fall right then and there, she stoop on top of the thin rails. Her mother stood with big eyes, shocked at what she was about to do. Y/n glaced at her wings with determination then she starred into the sky and opened her arms and then... she jumped off of the railing.
