There was a moment, long ago, when humanity finally took steps on a surface that was alien to us. A desolate, dusty, dead rock that always shined brightly in our night sky. Since the dawn of our existence we stared at its glory, romanticized it, praised it, even worshipped it. All with the growing dream that some day we'll visit it someday.

When President Kennedy made his vow to make that dream, it wasn't long after that the dream finally came true. The impossible milestone forever written in our history only became a blueprint to what was to come next. Space programs around the world started to emerge. An initiative between the agencies gave birth to the ISS, the International Space Station, thus another milestone written in the books.
Decades past, and the station expanded, technology improved, and our eyes now stare out into the stars. Dreams of building bases on the moon, reaching Mars, and build a base there. Agencies brain storming, working hard to come up with the best plans to make the trips to do it with the limited resources we have from the crippling governments.

To our surprise, in the year 2018, President Trump announced something no one in the world expected. It was time for a new and improved Space agency that will take us far beyond what we were capable of. Military, and science members will band together from many nations, and create what he called "Space Force." The idea was born, and gears began to turn heavily in motion. Ten years later, the miraculous discovery of the warp drive changed humanity in an instant, and opened the gates to our existence in space. Technologies  grew from there, which allowed us to expand and improve the ISS into the base we all dreamed it would be. Now, we look up at the stars and smile, when a tiny zip of light beams across the sky, leaving behind a small trail of dust. That is the beginning of a new era, the beginning of Space Force.

Pitch black stretches endlessly across the night sky. It is calm, without a single disturbance of wind. With in the stillness of the night, the echoing of radio chatter bounced about like ping pong bouncing off the stars. As a cloud passes through its color suddenly went through black to red as a rocket roared through.

His face shaking as his eyes remained closed, clenching from the incredible g force pushing against him. The rumbling and shaking shook him violently in his seat, as he shook violently inside his space suit. "Separating boosters." Spoke a robotic voice, when a jolt kicked him to the back of the seat. Out of the all the violent shaking, and the rumbling noises, it all suddenly went blank. The space beacon echoed out into the vast space beyond the blue light of earth. A little metallic craft sat pleasantly as the massive blue orb turned beneath it.  "Captain Palori, we got you all green on the boards, you are green to punch it on our mark starting at 10" The captain remained silent as he stared into the blackness with only small flickers of light with just one that shined bright red. The countdown was muffled behind his thoughts faintly hearing, 9, 8, 7. He looked at the reflection of the earth through his visor and then stared into the blackness once more and smiled. 6, 5, 4, 3. He couldn't shake the feeling that was making history, that he was about to honored, and remembered forever. 2,1. Before he pushed the throttle he smiled,  " I am thinking of my son.."  and in a flash of a light, the metallic little craft vanished into the void.

Eyes open to the sound of an intense vibration noise.  A phone clattered on the night table as it shook for attention. Galileo raised his head to find that he was only dreaming. He reached for the phone and looked at it with a groggy face.
With out another second wasted he got up, made his way to the bathroom, with the clock behind him reading, 6:55 AM September 19th, 2058.

Before long, he was driving on the free way playing his favorite 80s. He had a huge smile on his face as the giant green highway sign reading " Airport" sped over him. When something you waited for so long finally reaches you, you float like a leaf on a breeze. He finally arrived to the airport, and stood among many others waiting for their arrivals. Right above the arrival doors, a giant digital screen looped an advertisement, that is found almost every where now a days.  It showed natives pointing up to the stars, sailors navigating through a nightly sea, and the Apollo lifting off into the sky. " We all have the same dream, join us and expand our dream. Space Force"
The screen showed a symbol of an S followed by an F with a star sitting above them both and a rocket sitting between. Galileo stared blankly when suddenly he was nudged gently. To his surprise it was the one he was waiting for. " Juno!" He immediately embraced her squeezed her tight, and kissed her. She laughed and smiled while she embraced and kissed him.

The door opens to Gali's apartment, and he steps in carrying two suit cases. Juno takes a breath of relief as her eyes meet the glistening diamonds of the Mediterranean through the big door windows. " I'll never get enough of this place." Juno smiles, and turns her eyes to
Gali. " Or you." They both laugh. Gali reaches for Juno's hand " Come, this warm sunny day has just begun!"
