Someone asked me what's fanservice so here is my humble answer:

Fanservice is anything idols do for fans. Sometimes they may not want to do it but if it pleases fans, most of them are happy while doing it.

For exemple:

~ Aegyo. When an idol acts cute and even talks with high pitched voices or doing cute facial expressions. This kind of fanservice is most common and usually it's done during fan meetings and while appearing on tv, etc.  For exemple:

~ Showing body parts (abs...) and showing skin, sometimes for fun or because a wardrobe malfunction.  Sometimes their companies force them to do it. For example to show off their abs in MVs or concerts.

~ vlive, a must have for every group to show a personal side of kpop idols, even, to have a conversation with their fans by replying comments and so. BTS have assured fans they are not forced. This can be seen, for example, during the Grammys, when they did a surprise Vlive after presenting the prize.
