Waaah!

The cries of the young prince fill the palace, arousing all within its walls from their slumber. One of the first up is the mother, despite her recovering from having another child that very night. The next one to reach the child's room is her husband.

Gaaah!

Blood drips from his wife's body, pierced by the spear cloaked in 'pure', GODDESS light. White feathers float mockingly down to the floor of his oldest son's room.

That night, the cries of the missing prince and the Demon King echo through the realm.

People would always avoid him like the plague. He was used to it by now. The isolation. The loneliness. The quiet. It wasn't like anyone cared enough to change any of this for him. His own mother always blamed him for things he never did because other goddesses would say he did them (even his own sister) and never listen to him. He was always in the wrong and he hated it.

"Meliodas!"

Well, not all of it. His best friend, Mael, made it tolerable. Heck, even the archangels treated him better than his own flesh and blood. Despite Ludoshel's obvious displeasure to have him around, he still tolerated him and gave him a chance. Now, he, Ludoshel and Mael are like family. More than his real family anyway.

"I've been looking all over for you! Brother finally said yes to sparring and I can't without my wingman," Mael starts to rant, causing Meliodas to laugh fondly, "What are you laughing at?"

"Nothing. I just thought of something funny." I just realised how much I love you.

"Well, don't get distracted against Ludoshel. We don't want to get pummelled too much."

Meliodas laughs again. Yeah, it wasn't too bad. Even without wings, he could still love living.

Ludoshel easily defeated them.

~~~~~~~~~~
He remembers when he first met the one he loved. Their smile would brighten up his world and he would spend however long he could with them. He would chase after them no matter what happened. They were his light that drove away his darkness.
"Sir Meliodas!"
Ever since Danafor, they had always called him that (like he was someone more important than them).
Didn't they realise how much they matter to him?
He always felt annoyed at it. After how long they'd know each other, he knew Meliodas was used to show closeness and love; this was slightly offensive to him.
Were they afraid to get close to him?
"Come on! Everyone's waiting! ... Are you okay?"
"Yes. Of course! Come on! Let's go!" No. Of course not. Please! Stay here with me!
He loves them and everyone else but he misses how their relationship was. They can't know how he feels. Not yet. Not until he fulfills his promise.
~~~~~~~~~~

"Brother?"

His fist clenched around the blade trembles at that voice. Unlike the other voices, he knows who it belongs to, instead of feeling like he should know who it belongs to. His eyes narrow into a glare and his mouth becomes a frown.

He doesn't notice the growl that leaves his throat.

"Capt'n?"

Everyone is looking at him in worry. They need him. They need to deal with this like any other problem.

"I am not your brother!" YOU KNEW AND YOU NEVER TOLD ME! YOU HID WHO I WAS FROM ME! YOU USED ME!

"Come home brother. Please. We miss you. Mother misses you. I miss you."

How can she ask so calmly?

"Capt'n?" Ban looks at him seriously, but he can see the glee glinting in his eyes at the thought of the challenge.

He chuckles at this, shaking his head fondly, before turning to the goddess, glaring at her.

"I'm not some helpless hostage you can use anymore. Your realm is not my home." Please leave. I don't want to fight over this. Please understand I am home.

"You know you don't have a choice, Meliodas."

Hey guys! I will be updating every two weeks at the latest but I would love to hear your opinions please because this is the first time I have written in this style but I wanted to try and this is the result. Also, tell me who you think Meliodas's lover is. I might use your suggestion instead of who I have in mind if I like it. Anyways, quick recap: Meliodas kidnapped and his mother killed, how Meliodas is treated by the goddesses and his relationship with the archangels, Elizabeth and the Supreme Diety specifically, how Meliodas feels about his lover and everyone else and how he is affected by the curse and, finally, Elizabeth wanting to take him back to the goddess realm.
