Abby woke first and was practically yelling for Ry to get up. They ate quick, and ran to the getaway again. Abby let Ry climb up first, and was about to start climbing when Ry called down "hey did you leave a book here?" Abby climbed to the top, "no, that's strange" and looked at it. It looked like it hasn't been touched in years, but it want on her chair yesterday. They both stared at it, silently debating on what to do. Ry took a step forward and blew off an inch of dust. Both girls started to cough. When it cleared they looked at the cover. It was a navy blue, with what looked like a hand holding fire, the hand was made of gold. Abby reached forward, and lifted the front cover, but instantly was shot back into the ground. She cried out with pain from her hand, but before Abby shot back Ry poked it and flew back into one of the finished walls. Her face was red as a single tear dripped from her left eye. The tear rolled down her cheek, and they looked at their hands to see the damage done. They gasped in unison as their palms had the image of the hand with fire imprinted into there hands with lines that were a color a little bit darker than their skin. "H..h..how.... What?" Ry stuttered. Abby had no reply. They both stood up, and attempted to open the book again, bracing themselves to get launched again. Nothing happened. They sighed with relief, and opened the book. The first page was full of what looked to be like another language, and a
Picture below looked like a hand with a bubble of water in it. As soon as they looked at the picture, Ry and Abby got a headache. When it had gone, they flipped the page, and it was blank. Abby flipped through the rest of the book. Blank!. She slammed it shut, and set it down. "What just happened?" Abby half asked Ry and half asked herself. "The page looked like a hand holding water." Ry offered. "What does this even mean?.." The rest of what she said was cut off as she looked at her palm, where she felt like she had been dripped on. And right there, sat a bubble of water, floating a mere inch off of her hand. She gasped and shook her hand to try to make it go away. She started to panic, because it wouldn't go away. "Calm down!" Abby yelled, and the bubble appeared for her too. She studied it, and pointed her palm at the ground. Suddenly Ry crashed into her, and Abby pointed it at her not even thinking straight, and a blast of water shot towards Ry. Abby stumbled backwards, and the bubble went away. Ry's had disappeared when Abby looked back up at her soaking wet friend. Their faces stared at each other horrified.
