Old Friends and New.

Peridot's POV

I walked into the main area of the bar to see Amethyst with Pearl arguing about something with Lapis. "Hey guys what's wrong?" I asked as I stood behind Lapis before placing my hand on her shoulder. She flinched a little but said "We know eachother from my old school but we weren't exactly friends... " she trailed off before Amethyst began to speak. "Lapis was on of are best friends until she started doing drugs. " Pearl then slapped Amethyst on the back of the head she looked up to see an angry Bird Mum. "Amethyst you know why she was taking those drugs and I don't think she wants to be reminded of it. " Amethyst shrugged and walked away to serve a table. Lapis then stored of to help Ruby at the bar. "Pearl what happened between those two? " just asked the saddened tall girl. "They were childhood best friends but then in middle school Lapis' mother died in a car accident but she didn't tell anyone." I sighed poor Lapis "then she started to take antidepressants to make her feel better but you know Amethyst she didn't exactly have the best education on drugs vs pills so when she found Lapis' antidepressant pill tub she told everyone in are P.E group and everyone made fun of her for it so one day she tryed to kill herself but failed and after she got out of the hospital she was taken to a foster home somewhere she never told us and now I guess she's back. "
I smiled at Pearl thankyou for telling me now go see to Amethyst ill go see Lapis. " she nodded her head in agreement and I walked over to the bar."hey Lapis Pearl explained what happened between you and Amethyst but don't worry everyone will expect you here and we help you in anyway you need. Even if its just a hug. " Lapis then grabbed me by the waist and hugged me "thankyou Boss. " I pulled away and shook my head." I'm Peri here not boss.My pay is living here and money for food. " Lapis laughed and skin they went back to work.

At the end of the work day.

I started to help put the chairs on the tables until I saw Lapis grabbing her huge backpack and walking over to the exit. Hey Lapis where are you staying tonight? " I asked her as she was about to leave. "I don't know. " she answered "my hotel booking didn't go through so I guess I'm sleeping on the streets. " she sighed and I grabbed her hand."hey Lapis why not stay here? I've got plenty of room upstairs were I live. " she smiled and nodded her head I showed her to the stairs that lead up to my flat and I lock the door to the bar."this is nice " she says as she looks around my flat. I smile and show her to a spare room I had."here's your room Miss Lazuli. " I say smiling as she places her bag down and sits on the bed."have people ever taken advantage of your kindness Peri " she asks which shocks me a little "no I mean I'm kind to everyone but I only let pretty strangers live in my flat. " I say as she laughs and lies on her bed."thanks Peridot good night. " I smiled and walk out of her room to mine were I put some pjs on and cuddle up on my bed with my pumpkin pillow plush that had eyes and a tail I fall soundly asleep without a care in the world.
