I ran as fast as I could through the shiny halls and towards the blinking light on my wrist. I stole the mapping gadget from one of the other aliens. I found out what the word was for 'escape pods' and I yelled it into the gadget before I burst out of my room (or cell) and started running wherever the light was taking me. The captain of the ship and many others were yelling after me because they didn't want me to fall and hurt whatever it is, they had put in me. I didn't care if I fell on top of my stomach at all, at least I'd either die or it would, and I wouldn't have to worry about it anymore. An alien-in-disguise jumped out of nowhere and almost got me, but I pulled a baseball slide and really hurt my hip. I stood back up and ran, almost tripping again, and finally made it to the blinking light. I looked and saw that in order to open the hatch I needed to have a handprint from someone around. The sound of footsteps became louder and soon I was surrounded by three aliens.

"Give up, Max Taylor. You can't operate anything on the ship because you don't have our DNA or clearance."

I cursed under my breath as my hand slid over to the panel with the DNA reader on it. As it slipped by, the door behind me slid open, to everyone's surprise. I blinked a little as the aliens looked at each other in confusion but took that chance and slipped inside, closing the door as fast as I could. I found something heavy and slammed it against the pad, hoping it would malfunction closed, not open. Luck was with me as I looked around at the weird circular room. It looked like a nest of little eggs as the small oval escape pods rested in a circle around a tube in the middle of the room. There was a dull blue light in the room, and I looked for a way to get one of the pods to open or whatever. Each of them had their own little keypad for a code of some sort. This was becoming annoyingly difficult. I just want to go the hell home with my family and friends and Earth and grass... I just want to go home...

With new determination, I picked one at random and put my hand on it. For some reason, it let me activate the pod and it seemed to wake up, shaking a little in its cradle and then floating up, hovering. It turned sideways and flew out towards the large tube that was in the middle of the room. It rested on top of it and a spiral panel opened on the bottom of it as another panel opened on the other side of the tube. I could hear the aliens beating on the door to get it opened and I ran to the opening. I got in and was lifted into the small capsule. Once inside, I looked around and sat at the control to the capsule. I pressed a button and a map of what looked like the whole universe came up. Symbols came up and I had no idea what any of them meant. I had made it so far and the stupid language barrier was going to keep me from coming home? Fuck you, escape pod.

"I want to go the hell home! Get me to Earth, you dumb thing!" I screamed, slamming my hands on the control panel.

I must have hit something because a screen came up and low and behold, I found the word ENGLISH in a list of other weird words and symbols. I must have hit like a menu page or something, but I quickly pressed English and everything on the screens went to English. I yelled in delight at my luck and then found the navigation controls. I typed in Earth and it asked if I wanted to start the passage now. I pressed the 'yes' button and the pod seemed to start to turn upwards. I grabbed onto the seat and got in it before I was slung to the back of the escape pod and buckled in. I felt the pod descend and looked out of the window to see the aliens watching me angrily, especially that one who was really good at English and was a woman. I flicked them off as the pod descended into outer space and shot off like a rocket. I have no idea when I'll get home, but I don't care. I'm going home... that's all I care about.

Except for the fact that in my escape, I forgot food and water.

Oops.

The voyage was taking a lot longer than I thought it would and I thought I was going to die in the escape pod. My misjudgment about just 'going for it' was probably not the best of ideas. I was starving and I was so thirsty that I debated on peeing in a bottle or something and drinking it. I didn't, but the thought was there. After three days of being like this, I groaned and massaged my large belly and then actually started looking at it. It was clear that I was carrying something. Like, no doubts, I was pregnant. I looked about five months along, maybe? I'm not sure. My body looked like I could barely walk without breaking myself in half. I was sooooo skinny... My stomach was the biggest thing on me, so that's why I'm not sure how far I actually I am. I mean, I know I've been missing for three months and they started the experiment on me a month ago so... I don't think I'm five months along, but with this ugly orb of distended flesh on me I sure as hell look it.
