Love is wonderful feeling, most of the time. But the genuineness is the best tested not during fair weathers but when we go to storms of life. Some says love makes the world go around, which means love is the most important thing in this world. I believe that because without love this world would not even exist.
God the creator of heaven's and earth is LOVE, and its evident that ever that is in the world including you and me, we "lovingly" created by Him. Everything we need to enjoy life to fullest can only be designed and provided for us by a truly loving God. In return God expect us to respond to him in LOVE. Hence the proverbial saying love begets love.
Love is a really gift from God, because it means all the good things in life and the life hereafter. Hence it is privilege. But its also a responsibilities go hand in hand. You cannot have one without the other. That's why LOVE, is a privilege, is a beautiful, wonderful feeling. And love as a responsibility is a hard work, even pain sometimes. Yet in spite of the pain, the joy remains. This was the reason why Christ was able to pay the penalty of our sins in the cross of Cavalry. It was painful but joyful at the same time. That was love it still is will continue to be...
In the word of God, there were only two greatest commandments. LOVE GOD above everything else, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves. Natural and spiritual abilities are wonderful gifts, but the ultimate goal of our lives to produce the fruit of the spirit which is LOVE.
Love therefore is not simply feelings but means a lot more than that. In essence love is wanting to give someone or something you love the best of anything possible, and if it would cast you, your everything Jesus said "Greater love hath no man than this, that he should give his life to his friend." Since God himself breathed life to man when he created him back and loving not only ourselves or our fellowmen but everything he created. The seed of LOVE is inherent in us when were born and it is up to us to make it grow.
Let LOVE be our inspiration and goal in life, because although faith, hope and love remain, the greatest of these is still love. We have lots of ways to express it.
