Chapter 28
August 10th
Isabella's date with Ryan, in her opinion, was absolutely perfect.
Actually, it was more than perfect.
It was a dream come true.
However, Isabella and Ryan did have to change their plans.
It turned out that the movie theatre in RayBourne was closed and Isabella was glad that she found this out the day before the date. The internet was really something, she thought.
So, with that. Isabella found Ryan and she asked him if he wanted to see a movie at the movie theatre in Sandy Beach and he was only too happy to accept. Isabella was glad of that because she did really want to see a movie with Ryan.
Right now, Isabella was on her way to Tasha's house for a sleepover. She knew that she was a little too old for sleepovers now, or maybe she was just plain too old for them. But what was the harm in staying at her friend's house for the night? Isabella couldn't see any harm in it and she was excited. And while she was on her way to her best friend's house, Isabella kept thinking of her date today.
It was still perfect.
Isabella and Ryan left RayBourne and got to the movie theatre just in time for lunch. They chose their movie, brought some lollies which weren't a proper lunch but no one cared, and headed for their cinema. Isabella was so glad to be on a date with Ryan and she liked having fun with him even though she did have an empty stomach and a sugar rush.
The movie went for a couple of hours and Isabella and Ryan went to get something small for lunch seeing as they had just had a truckload of lollies. And as they were walking around the shopping centre, Isabella couldn't believe that Ryan held her hand. She had never held hands with a boy before and she loved it. She couldn't believe that she loved it, but she did and she would be happy to do it again. And after they had lunch, Ryan and Isabella went back to Isabella's house so Ryan could meet Destiny. They had fun with that before Ryan did say that he needed to get back to RayBourne.
Then the most exciting thing happened.
He kissed her.
Isabella had her first kiss!
She was so excited, and for the rest of the day, she was walking on air.
She couldn't stop smiling.
This was a dream. Isabella and Ryan had shared their first kiss on their first official date, and Isabella was over the moon. Ryan really did like her now and Isabella could see them as a couple. And when Ryan left her house, he told her that he couldn't wait until she got back to RayBourne. He said that he would be counting the minutes until she got back.
Clearly, Ryan was flirting with her and Isabella liked it.
It made her feel good.
It made her smile.
Isabella told him that she also couldn't wait to see him again, but the date was now over and she had also organized to see Tasha.
So, when Isabella arrived at Tasha's house, she knocked on the front door and it was answered by Mr Wilson. He seemed a little confused.
Mr Wilson looked at the time, "you're early. Didn't the date go well?"
"It went fine," replied Isabella, "Ryan just didn't want to drive back to RayBourne in the dark."
"Oh, right, that makes sense," said Mr Wilson as he stepped aside, "come in."
Isabella stepped in, "where is everyone?"
