Dr. Pepper

Austin's POV

I stared down at my beautiful sleeping girlfriend. Nothing but happiness filled my thoughts. A year ago I was sure that I would never find love again, and I would spend the rest of my days alone. But here I am, watching the most beautiful woman I have ever met, and the mother of my child, sleep peacefully.

I watched as her eyes slowly fluttered open and looked at me. A small smile appeared on her face and she whispered a groggy, "good morning."

"Good morning," I whispered back leaving a soft his on her forehead.

"Mmmh, I'm cold," she whined slipping her arms around me. I smiled and pulled her close against me, rubbing her back for warmth. "That's much better."

"What would you like to do today baby? We've both got the whole day off."

"Can we go to the beach? I miss the it."

"Anything you'd like, love," I said kissing the crook of her neck. "Are you hungry?"

"When am I not?"

I chuckled. "Would you like me to make you breakfast or do you want to go out somewhere?"

"Mmmh, I really want a bagel. With extra cream cheese. And I really want a fucking Dr. Pepper."

"Then we'll get you a Dr. Pepper."

"I can't. I won't poison our baby with that shit."

"One soda isn't going to hurt."

She lout out a loud groan. "What is life? I want one so bad that I dreamt about it. I literally had a dream that I was swimming in a lake full of Dr. Pepper and then I drank it all."

I let out a loud laugh, earning me a smack across the chest. Autumn threw herself back on her pillows in frustration. "This isn't fair. Ugh.... WAIT! Babe. Buy me a soda stream. Aren't those like not as bad?"

"Get up and get dressed. I'm buying you a Dr. Pepper and you're going to drink it and love every second of it."

Before she could object I got out of bed and exited the room to let Lola out. I let her outside and hooked up her to her runner before returning back inside. I grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and returned back to the bedroom.

Autumn was standing in front of her full lengthy mirror in a bikini staring at her belly in amazement. I walked over and wrapped my arms around her from behind placing my hands over hers on her stomach. I kissed her cheek and whispered in her ear. "I love you. You look so beautiful right now."

She smiled widely and took her hand from under mine and placed my hand on her bare stomach. "Do you feel that?"

There was a small but distinct tap against my fingers where she was pressing them down. I swear my heart almost stopped dead in my chest and tears instantly flooded my eyes. "Oh my god Autumn, that's our baby. Little Ella Grace just kicked me..."

"Baby are you crying?" she asked turning around and wrapping her arms around my neck with a cheeky smile.

I leaned down so my forehead was pressed against hers. "Shut up. I just felt my child kick for the first time. I think it's okay to cry a little bit."

"Of course you are baby," she cooed leaning in to peck my lips. "I need to finish getting dressed and you're still in your underwear so hurry it up. Little Ella is going to kick me to death if I don't feed her soon."

Autumn's POV

I slipped on a white sun dress over my bikini and waited to Austin to finish getting ready. He came back in the room with a huge smile and pulled me in for a deep kiss. I returned the kiss even deeper by wrapping my arms around his neck.

"What was that for?"

He laid a small sweet kiss on my nose and smiled again. "For being the most beautiful woman in the entire universe."

"Even better than an avatar?" I teased.

"Of course!" He got down on his knees in front of me and laid small kisses all over my pregnant belly. "Cook faster little one. Daddy wants to meet you already."

I whined and gave Austin puppy dog eyes. "I need food like ten minutes ago."

"I'm sorry. You're just so beautiful that it distracts me."

We slipped on our shoes and headed out the front door to the little bagel shop by the beach. I used to go there every single day before I got with Austin. I don't think I'd been since I last went with Austin.

Pete spotted me right away when I walked in and he rushed over to me, pulling me into a tight hug. "I thought you had died. It's been so long since I've seen you. Oh... what's this?" He felt my protruding stomach and looked up at me in shock. "You're pregnant."

Austin put his hand protectively around my hip and pulled me back against him. I smiled as his green monster began to show. "You remember Austin right?"

They had a small state off before Pete finally answers. "Yup. He's the father?"

"I am the father," Austin grumbled tightening his grip on me.

Pete finally took the hint and walked over to the counter to take our orders. "Will you be having the usual?"

"No actually, I really want a bagel with extra cream cheese and maybe some hash browns too."

"And she'll take a Dr. Pepper, and I'll have a bacon egg and cheese muffin with a small iced coffee."

Austin paid and as soon as we got our food he quickly pulled me out of the bagel shop. "I can't stand that guy," he grumbled as we took a seat at one of the outside tables.

"You have nothing to worry about babe," I said through a mouth full of bagel.

"I just want to punch his face in. You're nearly five months pregnant and you can very much tell and he pointed it out. And you're obviously taken, yet he's still staring you up and down like you're a piece of fucking meat. That's so disrespectful."

"I think you're over thinking it."

"Autumn, I'm a guy. I know when another guy is checking someone out and not only was he checking you out, he was undressing you with his eyes."

I leaned over the table the best I could, finally giving up and pulling Austin's neck toward me, and planted a sloppy kiss on his lips. "Shut up jealousy monster. We're going to have a good day."

"I just love you so much," he said pouting. "I don't want anyone else's eyes on you."

"Coming from the one who has girls all over him at all times AND weird fans that like to send me hate mail."

"I can't help that."

"And I can't help that there's a creep that wants me even when I'm fat and pregnant."

"You aren't fat. Pregnant, yes. Fat, no. You're beautiful."

"You're killing me with your sweetness today. My cheeks literally ache."

"I just love you so much."

"I love you so much more."
