Willow Ajina's POV

I paced around the airship impatiently, coming to rest against a wall, far away from many of the others around the ship that stood in little clusters. I recline back against the cool glass of the window, condensation forming around the edges from the heat of my body. My eyes roamed over the crowd, hoping to catch sight of ruby red and excited at the prospect of being able to have a conversation with someone I knew, even if it was only for a little bit before we parted.

My tail flicked in agitation, ears perking up beneath my hood, quickly becoming focused on the idle chatter on those around me. For the most part it was all inconsequential drivel which had me losing interest quickly, though there were some interesting points made here and there. Flicking my tail around, I gently wrap it around my thigh, not wanting it to get stepped on as students walk around the ship.

Slowly the boredom of idle chatter got to me, zoning out until I heard a voice cut through all of the rest. "Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever" A blonde cried out, crushing someone dressed in red against her breasts causing me to wince at the smothering. Suffocation via chest didn't look particularly comfortable, but as it seemed it was all in good fun. Slowly my gaze roamed over the girl in red, a small smile twitching at the corner of my lips. So Ruby had a sister hm?

I took my time examining the girl, taking in her outfit and face. She had lilac eyes, and a mountain of long golden locks that flowed down her back. As my gaze roamed over her I couldn't help but feel like I was doing something I shouldn't. Her outfit was revealing to an almost shocking extent, cleavage on full display and short shorts which made a large amount of her body very visible. Reaching up I gently rub my cheek, trying to actively pry my gaze away from her, not wanting to stare for too long.

I finally managed to pull my gaze away from the girl and back to Ruby when the small girl spluttered. "Please stop." Her tone was strange, more of a wheeze than anything as she was quickly released from the crushing bear hug delivered by the blonde. "But I'm so proud of you!" The blonde exclaimed excitedly, practically squealing as she let her go, swinging her arms around as she went. "Really, Sis. It was nothing" Ruby reassured her sister, personality noticeably muted since the last time I had seen her.

"What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you are the bees knees!" Clearly the reassurance was lost on the blonde as she was still as excitable as before, her personality as vibrant as her yellow hair. "I don't want to be the 'bees knees', okay? I don't want to be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl, with normal knees." Ruby rambled, which had me pleased to see that she hadn't strayed too far from the Ruby I had met just yesterday.

"What's with you? Aren't you excited?" The blonde sounded rather confused by Ruby's lack of enthusiasm, tilting her head as she watched the apparently younger girl. "Of course I'm excited... I got moved ahead two years. I don't want people to think I'm special or anything." The wish for normalcy despite the age gap was still something to be respected. Many others in her position would've been yelling such a matter from the rooftops, so it was refreshing to not be met with such selfish ideals. "But you are special" the blonde spoke, moving around to Ruby's right side, wrapping an arm around her shoulders and drawing her closer.

Before either could say anything more, the sound of a news report cut in. The sound manages to cut through the noise of the ground, my ears perking up beneath my hood as I focus on the screen projecting the report, the news catching the attention of Ruby. Quickly becoming wrapped up in the report, I drown out the rest of the world.

"The robbery was led by nefarious criminal Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities." The news reporter read out, the screen flashing up an image of the man Ruby and I had encountered the night prior. "If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Vale Police Department." Sighing softly, I reach up, sliding my hand beneath my hood and toy with the short strands of my hair out of habit, replaying my encounter with him.
