Izumi Midoriya was born with the brightest eyes.
Their emerald color shined and glowed with curiosity and love. As soon as she could walk, speak, read, and write, she loved heroes. She loved her mother, more than just a mother, but as a Hero. Izumi's mother Tomoko Shiretoko more commonly know as Ragdoll the No. 32 ranked Hero.
Her father, Hisashi Midoriya, was a simple man. He held a well paying job that helped sustain the family when Tomoko had Izumi. He had emerald hair and chestnut colored eyes, Hisashi was a kind and loving father but always had high expectations of his daughter. He would say things like "Do better! You have it in you!" Loving as he was, Hisashi always pushed Izumi.
Tomoko was a different story. She loved to watch Izumi play and talk with her plethora of friends, and to Tomoko it seemed that Izumi could talk to her friend forever and never get bored or want to do something else. In Tomoko's eyes, she was the perfect child. Izumi, like other children had her share of white lies. Things like "I didn't eat the last cookie!" or "I didn't eat the last sandwich!" These little quips made her parents laugh with how innocent she was.Tomoko vividly remembers the day that Izumi got her quirk. It was 2 weeks before her fourth birthday. It was sunny, a great day to be outside with very few clouds and the light blue sky was welcoming to everyone. In the morning Izumi noticed something different.
That very morning, Izumi noticed something unusual. Instead of waking up to the pleasant aroma of her mother's cooking, she woke up to the smell of ash.
Her mind immediately went to fire, She jumped out of bed and ran to her parents' bedroom. She jumped onto there bed and screamed as loud as she could—"Fire!" Hisashi jolted up knocking his forehead on hers, Izumi stumbled back and fell and held her head in her hands. She felt a tingling sensation that she hadn't experienced before. Izumi looked down at her hand and saw a small flame. She jumped with glee and laughed,
"W-What's with all the commotion this early in the morning..?" Tomoko rasped.
"Mommy! Mommy! Look!" Izumi cried as she jumped onto her mother. Tomoko gasped as her daughter dropped onto to her. She had been punched hard yes, But nothing came close to having your offspring jump onto you in the early hours of the morning. "Mommy! My Quirk! Look at it!" Tomoko beheld the small flame, it danced in her hand.
"Does it hurt?" She asked her daughter.
Izumi took a second to think
"Nuh-uh. Tingles." Izumi responded with a giggle.
"Amazing! It's like my Quirk, but it has its own attributes, and she doesn't have to breath for her fire to exit her body. Yet it's still fire, I wonder if she got any of her mother's Quirk?" Hisashi started to mumble. Both Izumi and Tomoko started to laugh. "Daddy, you really talk a lot about stuff!" Izumi giggled. The family combusted into a fit of giggling and laughter. Tomoko loved these moments, the moments of love and pure joy. She loved her daughter more than anything in the world.
The family finally got up and started their morning. Tomoko made breakfast while Izumi took a shower, and Hisashi read the paper. "Izumi, you better get down here fast or else your food will get cold!" Tomoko called up the stairs towards the bathroom. "Coming!" Izumi's voice filled the hallway as she ran down the stairs, the green mop of hair still slightly wet. Izumi jumped into a chair at the table in the living room and quickly started eating breakfast.
"You're in a rush today, you didn't even comb your hair!" Hisashi said, walking over to the table and taking a seat. "No time! Gotta get to school early!" Izumi said with a mouthful of food. "Please have some manners! You're at a table, not a feeding bin! I'm not raising a pig am I?" Tomoko asked sternly. Izumi paled "No ma'am!" she replied after swallowing the food in her mouth. Hisashi chuckled, the two women were always fun to watch.
