Thousands of light years away, they thought that it would be enough.

They thought that no one would choose to bother travelling all that time. Wasting all that time.

But they were wrong.

A brand new, genetically engineered creature hurtled towards them at incredible speed, throwing any amount of 'light years' to the wind. It was worrisome, it was impossible, it was powerful.

Well, to the rest of the realms it was. For Shandian and the rest of the guides, it wasn't anything too special.

She flew out to meet it, holding her hand out as a warning sign. If it continued in it's path she would fire. No hesitation needed. Lucky for her, the creature knew that and halted where it was, staring at her with fire in it's eyes.

"Creature, state your purpose and identity,"

"Identity: Chaos. Purpose: Destroy,"

It pointed to the glistening building beyond them, the building home to the twelve guides. She cocked her head, a friendly smile on her face.

"Chaos, I suggest you turn around and tell your home that destroying the house of guides is impossible and a disgrace to your kind,"

"I cannot do that. I only destroy,"

"If that is all you can do, destroy your home,"

"I cannot. It is my home,"

"Then you will die here today. Think about your life and your home. It is not worth a glowing building,"

"But it is worth taking your pride,"

"The same pride your people have?"

They hovered there, Chaos considering his options. Finally he made his choice.

"We share the same pride, but not the same morals. If my life must be taken to prove that, then so be it,"

Shandian lowered her hand, nodding.

"You are brave. I respect that. But you choose not to return. Why?"

"Because bearing their disappointment for the rest of my life is a fate worse than death,"

"A shame. Your name will be remembered, Chaos,"

Lightning cracked through the sky and in the second he was there he was gone.
