Tossing. Turning. “Damn, I can’t sleep!” Dan said aloud to himself. Dan runs his fingers through his hair and stands up, stretching. He yawns and walks out of his bedroom door, towards the kitchen. As he is walking, he hears a slight mumbling coming from Phil’s room. Dan is intrigued by this, and opens his door slightly and peeks in on him sleeping. “N-No! Stop!” he hears Phil mumble as he snores softly. “Don’t do it, please!” he mumbles again. Dan realizes that this isn’t something that Phil usually does, but, at first he just dismisses it as if it’s nothing, and continues on his route to the kitchen to get some water. As he is drinking, he hears Phil screaming. He automatically becomes worried and runs to check on Phil, throwing his cup into the sink. He runs into Phil’s bedroom to see he is screaming his name. “Stop it! Now! Let go of Dan! Please…” he screams. A look of confusion sprawls itself over Dan’s face, however, in spite of the confusion, his cheeks start becoming warmer, and his heart begins beating faster. “Please,” Phil screams once again “Leave Dan alone! I love him! More than anything in the entire world!” his voice quivers slightly, despite being asleep. Dan can feel himself becoming flushed, and a small smile appears on his face. He walks over to Phil’s bedside and watches over him protectively. He strokes Phil’s jet black hair and kisses his forehead slowly. “Phil, I love you too!” he whispers and climbs into Phil’s bed next to him. He slides an arm under Phil and rests another on top of him, turning him, so his head is resting on Dan’s chest. Dan continues stroking Phil’s silky hair as he sings him a lullaby softly “Little Philly, don’t be silly, rest your head, it’s time for bed! No monsters in sight, no bed bugs will bite, no night terrors will scare you, little Philly, I love you.” He kisses Phil’s forehead softly again, before falling asleep with Phil safe and warm in his arms.
