It's late night. Lee Eunsung finally gets to lie on his comfy bed after spending the whole day practicing at the usual place, tossing his beg on the other side of bed. He stares blankly at the white ceiling, heaving a long sigh. He's exhausted from the long practice. After a while, he hears a buzz coming from his smart phone. Idly, he sits up, then reaches for his beg and takes out his smart phone. It's a text message from one of his friends.
From: Jooheon
Eunsung, are you going tomorrow?"Ah, right. The trip," Eunsung mumbles, landing himself back on the soft bed. After replying, he spends a bit of time to scroll up his Instagram. Checking at the tagged section, he notices a photo of him that his brother posted, which was taken by a fan during his graduation day. He smiles happily reading the caption, especially "showing off my little brother" since the photo of him came out very well. Seconds after, he hears a knock on his opened bedroom's door with his eyes still on the screen.
"What is it, hyung?" He asks, not bother to look at the doorway. Minki smiles and walks in, plopping himself on the edge of the bed, next to his younger brother.
"Tired?"
Eunsung hums, acknowledging the older. "Exhausted."
"Have strength," Minki tells, pressing his lips into a firm line. "Oh, are you going somewhere tomorrow?"
"Yeah. I'm going to Wonju with my friends. To ski," Eunsung replies excitedly, sitting up. "Hyung, wanna tag along?"
"Nah. I have work to do. Have fun," Minki punches the younger on the thigh hard, getting up after that.
"Hyung! That hurts!" Eunsung winces, rubbing his thigh profusely to ease up the the pain. Minki's lips curl up, smiling happily watching his brother.
"Eunsung ah, go and take a bath. You stink," he says as he walks out with a smile.
"What? Ah hyung!"
Walking out from the shower, Eunsung dries out his wet hair using a towel while heading to kitchen. A strong scent of cooking hits his smell sensory as soon as he steps into the kitchen.
"Hyung, what are you doing?" Eunsung asks as he takes a seat at dining table.
Minki slightly rolls his eyes, still facing the stove. "Can't you see? I'm cooking."
"Since when you can cook?" Eunsung asks in mocking tone, raising an eyebrow. He's not genuinely curious.
"This rascal," Minki shuts the stove off, holds the pan and turns around facing the dining table. He places the pan on the table a bit strongly, lips curving into a smile. "I'm cooking ramyun. Isn't it your favorite, little brother?"
"Ah hyung. You're not fun," Eunsung pouts his lips seeing his method to annoy his brother doesn't work. Minki isn't the type that gets mad easily but Eunsung never gives up.
Minki shakes his head and chuckles. "Just shut up and eat, alright Eunsung ah?"
"Yeah yeah whatever," Eunsung says, picking up his utensils and starting to dig up. "Ohh not bad. It's tasty."
Minki fights a smile seeing Eunsung's reaction. He walks to the fridge and takes out a glass bottle. "Shall we have this?"
Eunsung looks up instantly, eyes fixing at the bottle. "Oh? What's that?"
Minki gives a warm smile, taking a seat next to the younger. He pours them into two glasses filled with ice. "Blended scotch whisky. That's what it's written."
"Sounds pretty cool. But, hyung. You're a light drinker, aren't you? Already pass out after half bottle of soju," Eunsung states, giggling quietly.
"This kid," Minki presses his lips into a line. "I can handle this one.""Really?" Eunsung raises an eyebrow, quietly eyeing the older. He smirks.
"Eunsung ah, can we have our first drink together quietly?" Minki finally says, giving up with his brother's antics. He wonders if it comes from him hanging out with Sagang too much. He raises his iced whiskey-filled glass, attempting a toast.
"Hyung, you're not fun," Eunsung whines. Then, he raises his glass and clinks their glasses. "Cheers!"
"Ah this is how whiskey tasted like," Eunsung expresses after sipping a generous amount of the drink. Minki can just smile seeing his now-adult younger brother. It doesn't feel real to him that Eunsung has grown and able to do adult stuff now. He used to be that little kid who was totally doted on him. Not that Eunsung doesn't dote on him anymore, but things are surely gonna be different.
"Hyung. Why are you always going to gym?" Eunsung asks curiously, staring at him with his catlike eyes.
"To be strong. To build muscles. And the most important is to stay fit and healthy."
"Oh...then should I build muscles too? Like hyung?"
Minki looks at his younger brother from top to toe for quite some time. "I don't think a body like me would suit you? Your head is too small."
Eunsung rolls his eyes, slightly annoyed. "As if yours are not."
