Phana was taken aback when Forth's lips landed on his. It was really unexpected, but then he closed his eyes, to enjoy the moment.
How they arrived at this situation you might ask.
Well, even Phana wanted to know.
Maybe he knew a little, but he never imagined it would end up this way.
Forth and him were not friends, just school mates. They never hung out together. Just sometimes, when they came face to face, greeted each other. That's it.
And being the two most popular guys in school, they were always surrounded by people. So Phana never thought or considered being friends with him.
But that doesn't mean he didn't liked Forth. He thought Forth was cool, in anything he did.
And he may or may not have observed Forth growing up and becoming a handsome fellow these past 3 years.
Which leads them to today. The last day of school. They were done with everything. And would be meeting some of their schoolmates for the last time.
And the school ended, and time to go back home came, which was surprisingly accompanied by Forth.
Which made Phana think of the weird dream he had last night, and something possessed him to tell the dream to Forth too.
Because he was in it too.
It started with a scene with Forth and Phana in a park.......with some kids. Which then continued to night, with Forth and Phana each carrying a kid out of the car and settling them into beds.
The next scene showed them fighting. And then crying.
Next one showed them admiring a house.
Next one showed them roaming around in Forth's bike and hanging out in the beach.
Next showed them having lunch together.
Next showed, Forth giving him a red rose with a nervous smile.
And the last showed Forth, kissing him like now. Even the settings were same, sunset, orange sky, deserted road, and a nearby park.
Infact it was the eerily similar settings which made Phana recount his dream to Forth.
And as soon as had Phana closed his eyes, Forth withdrew.
When he opened it again, Forth was already looking at him with a thoughtful expression.
"Why did you do that?", Phana asked.
"Something like that......how would I know?"
And just like that, they parted ways.

Phana had never been heartbroken. So he doesn't know how it felt like.
But if being angry and sad and depressed and hurtful described that, then yes he was.
But for what?
Something he never had?
Something he never knew he wanted?
Something which lasted only a few seconds, but left an impact for lifetime?
Maybe, Phana needed to be honest with himself right now.
He spent the whole one month vacation moping, till his college opened up.
Nervously, he went inside the college on his first day and looked around, only to get the second biggest surprise of his life.
Forth coming towards him with a red rose.
"Oh!!! I never knew you were joining this college!!"
"I didn't too..until last month. But then I had to come, to make your, no our dream come true."
