Chapter 12 | welcome new comers

Chapter 12
Leo's pov

It had been a week since meeting link and yuki and forming obscurity and it was coming to our first practice I managed to land us using the old music rooms where me and Lana have lunch due to the fact of being friends with the old grounds keeper  we was all putting in a fiver each that's 20 every Saturday he was all for it. Our first practice was set for later on this day I was currently with Lana hanging out in her living room with her just watching random tv well she was watching it I was to busy watching her, her awkward movements or the way she would bite her nails if she felt nervous or the way she looked when she laughed I was starting to go soft I was sure of it, back in my old town I was never one for dating I had a major girlfriend once Lisa but when I would miss dates or things like that due to protecting my sisters from my dad or being unable to move due to beatings she broke up with me saying I wasn't taking the relationship seriously enough in her defence I probably wasn't because if she felt for me what I felt for Lana I would understand we have known each other for about a month and a half already and I'm desperate to make a move or at least to make my feelings known but I don't what to rush her in to anything right now and the thought of risking what we have right now is scarier. I sighed looking at her deep in thought when she heard this she turned towards me "board?" She asked raising a eyebrow I smiled a crooked smile "the opposite actually I'm deep in thought" "about?" She asked curiously, I tilted my head coming closer to her thinking if I should just tell her, "well...I-i was thinking of what song we should cover first" I lied dammit why can't I just spit it out I've never felt like this about anyone but her "oh... well let's talk about it when the others are here I don't really have any ideas" she said disappointment in her tone was she upset I lied? Could she tell I lied? Lana looked up at the clock "it's time we get going" she stand standing up stretching so her top rode up so I could see her smooth stomach I sighed again trying to get rid of dirty thoughts   And being upset my alone time with her was gone "let's go"

We got to the old music room to meet link and yuki which they was already there before us "hey" I said as I opened the door as I opened the door I saw link pull away from yuki and giggled to herself yuki was blushing looking at the floor "I hope your not tortureing him" Lana stated at link as she went to sit on top of the old table she always sits on the light that peaks through the curtains making her look like she's glowing "of course I wouldn't be just had a eyelash" link said skipping over to Lana to hug her as a welcome it's obvious the two had become very close over the last week me and yuki had to Mute the group chat as they kept spamming it with them sending memes to each other as they giggled to each other and Lana was joking about some inside joke with her I walked to yuki " I know she's a lot to handle but if you say it annoys you she'll stop I said patting his shoulder "n-no I don't mind actually" he said blushing "aw man your two adorable for your own good kid" I said nudging him me and yuki started talking about the umbrella academy comic books and how the Netflix show was coming out soon our fanboying side taking over Lana coughed drawing my attention to her "incase you haven't noticed we came to practice" link smugly said her and Lana was already at the mic and bass set up me and Lana spent all week at lunch time setting up equipment and sound proofing the room so no one would hear us it actually looked like a decent studio keep in mind I said "almost" "oh yeah" yuki said standing up walking over to the drums tripping over his feet as usual "the day you walk in a straight line I will be a fully straight women" link said laughing as I walked over to my guitar stand we all looked at link then with questioning looks "what? You all thought I was seriously just into dudes" she stated in the same smug tone as usual "that would be starving the female population of me plus two genders are more fun" she said winking and plucking her bass so it sounded like a comedian drum roll yuki laughed "alright enough comedy what song shall we do" Lana said as she set up the camera to record us for a YouTube video plus we could see our performance back on how to perform better "I'm feeling teenagers my Chem" yuki said warming up his drum set we all agreed on the song and I started playing the guitar then Lana joined in smiling as she sang along with the gutiar then yuki joined in with his drum beats I looked over to him and smiled and Lana started to dance around a bit and put herself into the music then link finally started at the chorus the feeling of performing together with your friends was great I felt like I was playing in front of a crowd, it came towards the gutiar solo part of the song and I started dancing a bit as Lana came close to me headbanging and being playful she laughed thinking she looked like a idiot and went back to dancing and having fun with link after the song ended we all cheered and laughed "that was the most fun I have ever had" Lana said for once enjoyment in her eyes she looked truly happy I put my guitar down and hugged her from behind "same we was actually good for the first performance" I said down to her pink creeped onto her cheeks clearly from the back hug I laughed and let go.

We watched the performance back "we still have improvements to make yuki sometimes you come in to late, Lana remember to keep your vocals steady sometimes your shaky if your not in focus, you go to fast Leo sometimes and I came in late towards the end as well" link was commenting on our performance she became quite serious watching us back we all nodded and didn't take it two heart link seemed to be a perfectionist which I respect that side of her being as you would never pin her as that type it's clear she's passionate about music. "However we still did good" yuki said softly as he smiled me and Lana agreed with him link was to busy watching the performance to agree but I'm sure she did, "I have a idea" Lana said "why don't we make a video talking about who we are like a hello video a fan base is important" Lana said opening up her camera we all nodded it would be good if we didn't just upload covers but vlogs and stuff like that about us might create a bit more buzz around us.
We all stood in front of the camera as link counted us down to the action Lana was in charge of saying our band name as she was the lead singer "hello we're obscurity and I'm the lead singer Lana and I really like popcorn" Lana giggled I smiled at her she looked so pretty we all agreed to say one random fact about ourself as well as our name "hi I'm Leo the guitarist and I used to train to be a professional footballer" I said Lana looked at me in shock "really" she asked I laughed and nodded "wow I really don't no much huh" she said under her breath I frowned at that opening up is hard for me but I should at least try, "hiya I'm link I'm the bassist and I have failed my driving test 16 times" we laughed at her, I relaxed again thankful for link for breaking the tenseness I felt a moment ago "h-hi I'm yuki I play drums and I failed all my GCSE's" link laughed and replied smugly "I don't think you should put that out there" yuki blushed as always, Lana closed the camera and took the memory card out
