When Natsu and Happy got to the guild, Natsu saw Erza, Gray, Juvia, and Lucy sitting at a table, talking about something. He smiled, walked over, and sat down. Lucy greeted him with a smile, and Gray scowled at him.
"Clothes, Gray!" Said Mira as she dropped off a drink for Cana, who was at the table next to them. Gray ran off to put on clothes with Juvia behind him. Now it was just Erza and Lucy with Natsu, because Happy went to talk to Carla and Wendy. Erza chuckled at something, and said she was going to get cake.
"Hey, are you okay?" Lucy asked. He must not have been doing a great job at hiding his worrying fatigue from last night.
"Fine, just tired" He replied "I had a bad dream, so I took a walk" Lucy laughed.
"I saw. You came over to my house. What was the dream?" Clearly, he had woken her when he jumped down. Natsu felt a bit guilty, but Lucy didn't seem mad at all.
"I don't want to talk about it. Especially not here." At that point, Gray came back, fully clothed, yelling at Juvia for some probably-stupid reason. Lucy looked over at Levy to see her being lifted up by Gajeel, and Lucy chuckled. She looked at Natsu again, and stopped laughing immediately.
"We'll talk about it later, okay? I have to go save Levy." Natsu nodded and smiled at her kindness. Gray looked over at Natsu and made a face. Natsu made a face back.
"What do you want, flame-brain!?" Gray yelled.
"Not in the mood Gray." Luckily, Juvia started to bother Gray, so they didn't end up fighting. Lucy had successfully retrieved Levy from Gajeel and we're talking about some book they had read called "The Twists and Turns of Magic". The day at the guild continued as usual, with Gray and Natsu fighting, and Erza making them shut up. Lucy shot Natsu occasional worried glances. She seemed genuinely concerned.
Some time near lunch, Mira stood up on one of the tables and said "Alright guys! Tomorrow I have a very special announcement! Get ready!" And everyone cheered, although they weren't quite sure why. With Mira, it would probably be really fun but also quite terrifying, especially if she went crazy with the pairings.
Once the cheering had died down, people started heading out. Some went home, others went on jobs, and two people went to the library (the bookworm and her knight in shining armour, as Lucy liked to call them). Lucy decided she might go home, too, so she looked around for Natsu. She saw no sign of him and began to worry even more.
"Mira, do you know where Natsu went?" Lucy asked the bartender.
"Yeah, he went home. Is he okay?" Mira told her.
"I'm not sure. Thanks, I'll see you tomorrow." Lucy said and ran out of the guild.
