The Dragon and the Princess

Chapter 6*

"Who do you think will ask me?"

"Isn't this going to be so fun?"

"I wonder if there will be cake..."

"Juvia is so exited to see Gray-sama in a tux! He'll be so handsome!"

"I can't wait to see who goes with who!"

Lucy realized that Levy was being unusually quiet, and pointed it out to the other girls.

"I was walking home with Gajeel, and he asked me to the ball." Levy blurted when Lucy asked her what was wrong. Everyone screamed and jumped up and down.

"What!? Did you say yes!? You better have said yes." Every single one of those girls secretly (or not so secretly) thought Gajeel and Levy would be perfect for each other.

"Um... Well... I said I would think about it. I wanted to talk to you guys first. He said 'okay, I'll be waiting' and walked off. What should I say?" Levy explained.

"Say yes, say yes!" Said Juvia. Lucy was surprised that Mira was being so quiet on the matter, but when Lucy looked at her, Mira was smirking in a rather frightening way.

"Okay. I'll tell him tomorrow." Levy said. Levy had hoped they would say that.

"Erza, I think when Mira said that people that are not from fairy tail can come, she wanted you to bring Jellal..." Said Wendy.  Mira's smile grew.

"Yes, that was what she wanted to make a point of. She has already contacted Jellal." Erza replied.

"Oh, really? Where is he staying?" Asked Lucy.

"I believe he's staying at the guild. I also believe that I don't have a choice, and I have to go with him." Erza said.

"Juvia wonders, who else would you go with?" Said Juvia.

"Yes," said Levy. "You make it sound like you are being forced to go with him. Isn't that what you want?"

Erza blushed in reply.

"So Erza is going with Jellal, Levy is going with Gajeel, and Juvia is going with Gray. Who do you think Wendy and I will go with?" Asked Lucy.

Everyone turned to Lucy and glared at her.

"Wendy might be cute with Romeo..." Said Levy, breaking the science and the girls vs. Lucy staring contest. There was a chorus of ooohhhhs from the other girls.

"Technically, he is a year older that me, but with the whole Tenroujima thing, I am 7 years older than him." Wendy pointed out.

"Juvia does not care, Wendy should go with Romeo!" Said Juvia. Juvia seemed very exited about this new pairing.

"It's getting late, let's go to bed." Said Erza. They piled up blankets on the floor and when they were all in bed, Lucy said something.

"Guys, I have to  tell you something. You can't tell anyone though, okay?"

All of the girls promised to keep their mouths shut.

"Last night, Natsu told me he loved me." Lucy confessed. They didn't look surprised.

"You didn't know that?" Asked Juvia.

"Yes, it was fairly obvious" said Erza. Levy squealed. Mira facepalmed.

Wendy said  "I knew that you guys liked each other the minute I first smelled you. I can smell people's feelings with my sky dragon slayer magic."

No one seemed surprised to hear that. With that nights conversation on their minds, all of the girls went to sleep.
