"Is it that important you had to interrupt me in the middle of a lesson?!" I gulped audibly. She sounds furious, and I was an image of a dog whimpering......with it's tail stuck between it's legs. A heavy sound of hills steadily walked across the room. She was approaching me. Before I knew it, I was standing face to face with the infamous Mrs. Ebony.
Her face alone was scary. She looked as though she was hell-bread. I could tell she liked dark colours. Her makeup was anything but appealing. Her grey hair neatly pulled in a tight bun, making her eyes look bigger than normal. Let's just say her eyes held the only colour on her. A glistening green. Her dress code was dull and her sense of fashion was terribly late.
She scowled at me, as though she read my mind. Her eyes burning me through the lenses of her thin-rimmed specs."Well?" She tapped her feet on the wooden floor.
"Ss-sorry. I-I'm in this cla-"
"Name?"
I could feel my cheecks flush,"Brandy Rebs, ma'am"
"Rebs...." She repeated. Her eyes shut for a split second as though she was reminiscing a past event. Then suddenly they opened wide, and scanned me over. An emotion flashed fast in her face, then disappeared. It was too fast . I couldn't grab it. Must have been a terrible event.
A slight tug at the corner of her lip...
"Splendid! Now, continue your journey down the hall and to your left. A few feet away from the school building is a cottage. At the gate, you will be greeted by Keith, Gunlit's very own Liaison officer....." She paused, glaring down at me. I obviously looked confused because she quickly added ,"let him know that I assigned you to help him." Heavy emphasis on the 'help'. With that she slammed the door in my face.
What just happened?
I slowly turned my back towards her and walked ever so slowly down the hall, processing what just happened as fast as my mind would allow me.
Liaison officer. Help. What?
Did she just give me detention? I mean, why else am I being sent to 'Gunlit's very own Liaison Officer' ?
Damn it!
