Y/n p.o.v
That morning after the children all went their separate ways, I drove Chara to meet her parents at Asgores house.
"Do I look ok?" Chara asked.
"You look perfect." I reply.
"Maybe we should wait until later?" Chara suggested.
"Now or never." I reply.
"Maybe we can just take a quick walk around the perimeter of the entire city first? It's a beautiful day today!" She suggests.
"Chara, it's pouring rain." I say, gesturing to the rain that was coming down in sheets.
We where standing on the front steps of Asgores house, which is where Asriel and Frisk already where. I knocked on the door.
....
I knocked again.
....
........
But nobody came.
....
Chara looked up at me, and turned the handle on the door. It's was unlocked, and she pushed through. We both cautiously walked in. We stood for a moment.
Chara continued down the hall, and I followed.
Something didn't feel right.
I stood next to Chara, and gesture for her to stop. "Chara, we shouldn't be here. Somethings really wrong." I told her quietly. She nodded. I looked around, then behind myself. I looked back down where Chara should've been, but she wasn't there.
"Char-?" I was cut off by a furry paw covering my mouth and another one pulling me back into what seemed to be a storage closet.
"Shh..." Toriel said. Asgore let me go. And gestures for me to hide further into the shadows of the closet.
"Toriel, Asgore, what's happening?" I ask quietly. Toriel and Asgore looked at me for a moment, silent.
....
"I-I don't know... when I got here, everyone was already hiding. I had walked into the living room, and was calling out for Asriel and Frisk, but no-one answered. Then, a.... a thing came from the hallway... instinct told me to keep quiet and run. I got a text from Sans earlier, saying that he found Frisk and my son on his doorstep, asking for help. I decided to wait it out... I don't know how long it's heen since." Toriel said.
She quietly gasped, then gestures for me to be quiet. I nodded, and peaked out from the crack in the door. I waited, until I saw a dark aura fill the hallway. A shadow figure with a red smile floated eerily past the door.
It was Chara's hatred.
Wait.
.....
Where is Chara?
Sans p.o.v
"Okay, okay, okay, so you guys got attacked by a weird shadow thing, right?" I asked. They nodded, "Yeah, and it had Charas scary face and... and....." Asriel trailed off. "Oh my god! We forgot y/n and Chara are still there!" Frisk shrilled, pulling at their hair. Asriel was crying a little, "Mom and Dad to!" He whimpered. Frisk looked around frantically, "I'm going to get them! Asriel, wait here!" Frisk said, opening the door. I grabbed their wrist, "Frisk, I'm goin' with you, kay'?" I say. Frisk looked around, "But who's going to watch Asriel?" They ask. "Kid. I ain't a babysitter.... but I know who is." I imply. I take out my phone, and call Papyrus.
"Hey Boss. I need ya at ta' house."
"WHAT FOR?"
"Err, I need you to teach Asriel how to make a puzzle. The kids desperate."
"WELL, THEN I GUESS IF A CHILD IS IN NEED OF MY EXPERTISE AND GUIDENCE, THEN, I, THE-"
"Bye Boss."
Click.
"He'll be here in bout' two minutes." I reply to Frisk. Frisk nodded, "Always a step ahead. Again, Asriel, please stay here, okay?" He nodded, and waved bye, "Be careful!" . "Anyways, we're wasting time, let's go." Frisk says, as they run out the door. I grab their wrist again. "Too slow, lets use a shortcut." I say.
Ping
We stood at Asgores backyard doorstep. I knocked on the door.
........
But nobody came.
.....
...
I opened the door, and walked in. I had a feeling. It was the same feeling I had in the underground.
This house reeked of genocide.
I gestured for Frisk to hold onto me. They nodded, and clutched onto my jacket sleeve. We continued down the hall.
"Hahaha!~"
I freeze. They know we're here.
I looked down at Frisk. They froze, and backed up. They let out a yell, as they jumped back, facing what they had just bumped into.
"Hehehehe.... finally decided to show up... huh?"
Chara smiled.
= )
I put a hand in front of Frisk, "Kid, go find y/n and your parents. I'll keep emoticon occupied." I say with a reassuring wink frisk looked hesitantly at Chara, then at me. "Please don't kill them. I know she's in there." The whisper. I nod. Frisk ran off.
I watched them go. I looked back at Chara, who was still waiting. They seemed.... darker, then they where. Literally. Everything about them, was at least five shades darker, and that darkness seeped through their skin and clothes, drifting to the floor, pooling around them.
"My god, kid, what happened to you?" I say. They stared at me, blankly. Unmoving. It's as if they forgot they where smiling, and left it there. Their eyes blank. They didn't even have a knife. I narrowed my eyes, and walked towards them until I was a maybe two feet away. I waved my hand in front of their face. They did nothing. I paused, and lightly pushed them on the shoulder.
They fell over, hitting their side, and falling on their front, showing what was in their back.
"Oh my god..."
...
A kitchen knife there was, embedded into the child's back.
I knelt down beside them. "Kid...." I mumble. I took my jacket off, and pulled the knife out, pressing it to the wound, then putting it on them. I picked her up, feeling her pulse. She was still alive.
"If your here... then who was that.... sh*t."
"Hey Sans! I found y/n and tori-" they where cut off by their own scream.
I slowly turn around, and a couple yards away was Frisk, lying lifelessly on the hallway floor.
