Rise of The Scorpions

Chapter 10

"W...what? Who is this? What do you want from me?" I say still in shock from what they said.

"Who I am is irrelevant. All you need to know is that I have your boyfriend and you will do whatever I say so you can get him back. First thing's first is you wont do what your thinking of doing now."

"And what is it that I'm thinking of doing?"

"You are either one going to try to trace this call yourself which you can't do because I'm scrambling the signal, or two you were going to call the cops or your agency."

Damn, how do they know me that well? Have they just dealt with spies before? "And what happens if I do any of these things?"

"I will kill your boyfriend right here right now."

"How do I know that you haven't already killed him."

"Because I'm going to let you hear his voice."

There is a moment of silence and then I hear, "Mimi!"

"Trevor!"

"Yes it's me, don't do anything they say! I can...."

"YOU CAN WHAT???" there is silence on the other end, "TREVOR!!! YOU CAN WHAT?" I ask frantically.

"He can nothing. You heard his voice now do you believe me?"

"DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING HURT HIM OR I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF!!"

"Oh the only way I will hurt him is if you don't obey me."

I start to cry, I don't want him to hurt Trevor but I can't do what he says. What if they want me to do something evil like kill someone who doesn't deserve it?  "What do you want me to do?"

"Good girl! The first thing I need from you is to break someone out of prison. You actually know them quite well, I mean you are the one who put him there to begin with."

"Who? Who do you need me to break out?"

"I need you to break Evan Dark out of prison."

"WHAT?? I can't do that, are you insane!!"

"Some people would say so, yes. I personally think that I'm the sane one."

"HE IS LITERALLY THE WORST CRIMINAL OUT THERE!!"

"Yea that's kinda the point."

"I can't do that!"

"You can and you will, or your precious boyfriend will die."

"Why......why me?"

"I see something in you, something dark. I've been watching you for some time."

"That just sounds creepy."

"Do this one thing and you can have your little boy toy back."

"FINE! I'll do it."

"Good, you have 3 weeks. That should be enough, after that he's dead."

Evan Dark, was and still is the leader of the worst criminal group we have seen in ages. They do everything from bombings to robbing convenient stores. They always do something different. He is the biggest drug lord in town and this guy expects me to break him out of prison where he is serving 10 life sentences. If I get caught trying to get him out of there, I don't know what would happen to me. I have to do this, if I don't this guy will kill Trevor and probably more people that I love. There is no way around this. I can't tell anyone, not my best friend, not my dad, not even my agency. I guess it's time to make a plan to get him out of prison. How am I going to do this?

I guess the first step would be to make a plan. I need to find blueprints of the prison, I bet that the agency would have some. I can get them I would just have to come up with a cover story of why I need the blue prints. Then I can do some surveillance and see what the guard situation is like. The next step would be to make a plan to get into the prison without being detected by any of the guards. Once I'm in I will need to make my way to his cell and get him out. The trickiest part will be to make it back out without anyone noticing that he is gone and not letting any guards see us. This would work better at night so I will have to pick a night to do this. The only problem is I only have 3 weeks, I guess that gives me a week for surveillance, a week for planning and one week to actually get him out of there. This better work or Trevor is dead and I don't know if I'll be able to handle that.

I get to work right away, the first thing I do is pay a visit to my agency. I go to the records room and find the cabinet with the blue prints in it. I roll up the blue prints and put them in a bag that I brought with me. As I finish putting the blue prints in the bag I turn around and there stands Gavin. Oh no, this can't be happening! What do I tell him?

"Hey Mimi, what are you doing in here?"

I better think of something quick!  "Oh, hey Gavin. I was just in here looking for files on The Scorpions, you know for the case I'm working on."

"Oh yeah, I thought you had all those on your computer."

"Oh yeah, I know. I was just seeing if maybe there was any files that you guys might have missed sending me and I just figured that I haven't been here in a while so why not come check it out and say hi to some people."

"Oh ok well do your thing."

"Why are you in here by the way? I didn't think that you would come in here for anything."

"Oh I like to come in here and read some of the files on my free time. I like to see what you guys get to do and stuff since I'm stuck here just taking calls."

"Ok yeah that make sense, do you want me to leave? I think I got everything I needed anyways."

"I mean it doesn't bother me but if your busy then you should go."

"Ok, I'll see you around!"

"Yeah, see you around."
