This is for the amazing youtube watches all around the world. hopefully if this is viewed enough and spread enough the amazing channels will get to see it. these are just some inspirational messages for the amazing channels we all love just telling you how much you mean to us. and smaller channels new to the youtube comunity and for the people who believe youtubers are just "freaks with cameras".
for me youtube is a family, a place where everyone is welcome. where everyone has there own special fandoms. where you can get excited when a new video is posted. when you can get excited when your otp does a collab. through the good times and bad times youtube is a place where you can be happy, and the youtubers are your best friends. here are some other things that people had said about what they think of youtube and youtubers.
http://arcticgarden.tumblr.com/ - it’s like watching shows or movies but better because they are more human than actors and why wouldn’t you want to watch funny, kind, inspirational people.
http://i-reach-out-and-touch-troyler.tumblr.com/: -Tyler Oakley is important to me. Tyler Oakley is amazing. Tyler Oakley is an amazing human being who has helped saved so many lives by raising over 500,000 dollars for the Trevor Project which helps LGBTQA teens. Tyler Oakley has met President Obama with his good lesbian friend Hannah Hart. The president even loves them. Tyler Oakley has over 5 million subscribers and has won two teen choice awards this year. He is an inspirational human being who I look up too.
http://howellsbutt.tumblr.com/: -The way I would explain it is that YouTubers are more interactive with their fanbase as opposed to big, traditional celebrities. They let their fans into parts of their lives that most celebrities would’t dream of showing us (like the insides of their homes, what they do on vacations, etc.). For me personally, it was that they just made me laugh. If I had a bad day at school or something I could turn on danisnotonfire and it’d be like he was comforting me, you know? Even if you’re not noticed by your faves, you still feel like they’re you’re friend and that’s what makes YouTube so unique.
http://phanlight.tumblr.com/:- ok well i guess everyone has different opinions and interests and consequently different views on youtube. but for me, youtube is this sense of community that you really don’t have anywhere else in society. you watch and adore these youtubers you discover, dedicating a lot of your time to their videos and finding out things about them and they kind of become personal friends. when in some circumstances, can be the only ones there for you. i think a lot of people find the idea of them being there on demand 24/7 with their videos, their funny anecdotes, their laughs and their smiles to cheer you up whenever you’re feeling a bit unhappy or alone very comforting and that’s something that i think is very valuable about youtube culture and what a lot of people can relate to when talking about what youtube means to them. in addition to this, you’re also alongside thousands or possibly millions of other fans that are usually in the same position as you, with the same interests and the same opinions about youtube. this is where fan culture comes into it and without going into anything deep in the relationship between the youtuber and the fans, from a fan’s point of view as well as making friends with the youtubers, you’re suddenly introduced to all these people who can potentially become your friends too. (for backup can i just note that i’ve met some of my best friends ever through youtube). so although it’s perfectly okay to have an opinion that isn’t so positive on youtube, i think it’s important to acknowledge and accept that youtube is incredibly important to some people, and why.
thank u for listening :)
http://derperdan.tumblr.com/:- these people actually do give advice and help you in many ways, they are not a waste of time and THAT THEY ARE REAL :D. if u take dan for example, dan has made so many videos on weird things he does, that you might find relatable.
