Running. Alex was running from something he couldn't see. "MUM! DAD! LENNY!" Alex sobbed in useless tears and frustration. He didn't know what he was running from but he knew he needed to run from whatever it was. Alex looked behind him again not seeing anything but knowing it was just at his heals. Ahead the cliff neared closer, the boy ran faster, his feet burning from the cuts he got from the lacking of shoes. Alex threw himself down the cliff, the misty black shadow stopping at the edge. Alex jolted up from his nightmare he had every night. He looked around his small room, getting up quietly he walked out to the hallway to his younger sisters room and stood in the door way. Lenny was 15 she was born a boy but was trying so hard to be who she wanted to be. Lenny rustled in her sleep and mumbled something about the two's parents who were murdered in a fire. Alex shook his head sadly but went back to bed seeing that lenny was safe and sound. He didn't fall back asleep so easily but when he did his dreams were flocked with flames and burns. In the morning when Alex went to look in the mirror his short dirty blond hair was in messy knots and he had dark bags under his light emerald eyes. "Morning sleeping beauty" he sarcastically said when Lenny walked past. Lenny looked a lot like their parents, having their mums soft eyes and small nose and their dad's mop of light blond hair. "Shhhhhhh" the small trans said in a sleepy tone "the princess needs her coffee". Alex laughed rolling his eyes as he flicked a small plastic crown at Lenny saying "alright your majesty I'll make it right away". With that Alex walked to the kitchen and started the preset coffee pot.
