Calum's POV //
He drove for almost an hour before stopping. We hadn't spoken for the entire ride and it was incredibly awkward. I decided to put on some music, so we listened to blink-182. I kind of wanted to sing, but I told Luke I wouldn't speak so stayed quiet the entire time.
He was quiet too. I kept taking glances at him, trying to examine the look on his face. He had been acting a bit strange lately. It was like he was always stressed, even during the most relaxed times. Like last week we were all sitting in the living room watching a really funny movie, but Luke kept fidgeting and running his fingers through his hair and staring at the floor, deep in thought. I knew something was bothering him, but he wouldn't talk to me about it. He wouldn't talk to Michael or Ashton either and that really bothered me because the four of us always tell each other everything.
Last night Luke went to bed early and I asked Ash and Michael if they noticed something off about him. We all agreed that Luke wasn't the same guy we all knew him to be.

FanfictionI stood in front of the mirror, looking myself straight in the eye. "I'm Luke Hemmings", I said as strongly as I could, almost trying to convince myself. It didn't sound right anymore. It felt like a lie. I wasn't the same person I used to be.
