"Umma?(mother), Appa?(father), why am I black like the others and not fair like you two?", five year old Kim Hye Soo asked her parents. Mrs Kim and her husband looked at the young child. How do you tell such a lovely child that her had died during childbirth and they were asked by mother to take care of her daughter,
"Mr and Mrs Kim, I don't speak Korea but you two do, train my baby. Just as you two brought revival through CHRIST in this remote Nigerian village, revive her and let her know CHRIST". And the woman breathe her last. Those were her last words. Mrs Kim did not want to remember but she had to answer the child somehow. Hye Soo looked her usual self. Mrs Kim looked at her husband who walked away, as worried as she was.
"Yah(Hey), mianeh(I'm sorry). Am I just an Ahjumma(middle~aged woman) to you?". She squatted to meet the girl's height. Hye Soo smiled,
"Ahni(no), you are my Eomuni(mother)". She smiled.
"Neh(yes), I am. So don't mind what others say, huh(alright)?". The girl nodded before replying,
"Neh(yes)".
