Chapter One: Intro: The Beginning

Mary Anne Marie Ingrid Henricks, often called Ingrid, had a rather boring life, at least by the young girl's standards. At the age of eleven, she has travelled all over the world and laveshed with only the best of the best. Maids to bathe and dress her, world class chefs to cook all her meals, only the best seamstresses making her clothing, and a personal driver and nanny to tend to her and take her places. Bows and ribbons of silk entwined in her hair and the best fabrics made her dresses. Ingrid was often dressed as though she was a doll. Her long chocolate brown hair that landed just below her shoulder blades were forever styled in ringlets, soft brown eyes that spoke that she has seen and experienced more than her years, smooth pale skin was that of a baby's, soft features always made people assume that she was a doll and at the hieght of four feet she was often considered to be quite a bit younger than her age. Often treated like that, with warbrodes filled with dresses upon dresses she was often changed several times a day.

Her mother, though at the age of twenty five, has only had only two children. Married to her husband, Steven, at the age of thirteen, she was married off to settle a debt. Though she was treated rather fairly, three square meals a day, a kind husband, lavished with only the finest, and helpers to tend to all her personal needs. Katherine Marie Elizabeth Henricks was a beautiful woman, even after bearing two children. But she was distant and had a far off look about her. Ingrid was an exact replica of her mother, though her mother had bright dark green eyes and had golden blonde hair.

Suzanne Marie Jennifer Henricks was Ingrid's younger sister at the age of nine. Suzanne was very náive for her age. With golden blonde hair like her mothers, big blue eyes, and a medical condition that kept her already frame even more so, she had always been coddled her whole life. Mostly keeping inside the house, she played with who ever would play with her, or read. Ingrid adored Suzanne, and Suzanne adored Ingrid, but unable to fully pronouce Ingrid's name when she was younger led her into the habit of always calling Ingrid, Innie. Always being paraded around like a doll often kept Ingrid from spending time with Suzanne. Suzanne, who was small was kind and caring, often picked up stray animals she finds. So far, the young child had three dogs, two kittens, five birds, a tiger and it's cub, three snakes, four lambs, a lion cub, and two panda bears. She played with all her animals regularly and considered them her friends, and they treated her the same.

The last and most loved member of the immediate Henricks family was Steven John Michael Henricks. Married to his beloved wife, Kathrine (Kitten), at the age of seventeen, now at the age of twenty nine he was just as handsome, some would even argue that he was more handsome now than he was then. Either way, he was a sucessful business owner of light industry. Selling homely goods was his job but his passion was in studying people's habits and life in other countries. Taking himself and his family all over the world, he had friends everywhere and helped his business grow. As the richest man in all of Europe, he was quite humble and kind, he regularly donated quite a large sum of money to charities and the needy. Though nobody would ever call Mr. Henricks a push over, the last person to try ad trick him into doing something was never heard of again. Some say that the person is still alive in the basement of Mr. Henricks house in London, being tortured for information. But most people have different theories about what happened, getting more and more outragous. The only person to know the trith about the person's fate was Mr. Henricks himself, and he swore not to tell a soul. He often tried to spend time with his daughters but due to all of his work, he regretfully was forced to stay in his study. Staying up all night more often than not, Mrs. Henricks tried to keep her husband company by staying with him and verying activities from reading to playing the harp for him.

Ingrid's mother rather enjoyed going to party's and being outside. Now trying to be a good mother, Mrs. Henricks often brought Ingrid out with her on her shopping trips and taught her various things. From batering and haggling that Mrs. Henricks learned from her years on the streets to teaching her daughter how to act properly and catching the eye of eligable suitors. However, Ingrid found these trips bothersome and boring. She did, however, found it quite interesting and fun when her mother takes her into the lower, dirty, part of London dressed as beggers and teaching her how to survive with out having to go to extremes. Ingrid had a rather good friend there. His name was Benny Rich, he did like to change his name quite a bit so whenever they met they had to introduce themselves all over again. That week it had been Beeny Speed in honor of his latest job. Being an orphan in no home and living off the streets, Benny often pulled odd jobs that paid little. That week he was running around the city as a message boy because the original guy had caught the cold.
