Rose POV:
I woke up from the bright light of the sun. I slowly opening my eyes. I never noticed how comfortable the couch was. I scratched the back of my head. I removed the blankets from my feet, got up and walked to my desk. My phone was there. And it was blinking. I grabbed it, confused. I unlocked it and saw that I got a missed phone call from my mom and text message from Justin. I smiled. I clicked on his message.
Justin:Good morning beautiful!!💜💜
Beautiful...
It's been years since someone called me that. I laughed when he wrote the two hearts. I smiled and bit my lip. Then I clicked on my mom's number and called her back. After a few rings she answered.
"Good morniing sleepy head." She said.
"Goood morininggg!" I sang cheerfully. I giggled at the end.
"Well, someone is happy. How did you wake up?"
I sighed happily. "I woke up great." I walked to my bed and sat down.
"That's good. Sweetie, I know I'v been harsh about not letting you hang out with that Justin kid." She said his name as if it was trash. I frowned. Well my mother just killed my vibe. "But, I still think you shouldn't hang out with him."
"So are you letting me?"
She scoffed. "No." Then there was silence. I knew she was going to say that. She always did that. She would bring up something I asked for earlier, say that she was wrong, I will ask again, and she will say no. I rolled my eyes. "I still think he is a bad influence."
"You always said to never judge anyone before you meet them." She was silent. I smiled to myself.
"I know I said that before, but I don't trust him."
"Yea, whatever."I muttered quietly, hoping that she wouldn't hear it.
"Well, that isn't the reason I called. I called because me and a group of girls from work are going to Paris for the week. And I packed my things last night. I'm at a hotel, I am leaving for my flight in a few hours. I just wanted to tell you that." You've got to be kidding. She is going to the city I always wanted to visit. She is bragging. I rolled my eyes. She didn't even bother saying good bye properly.
"Cool, I have to get ready for school." I hung up before she could say anything. I ran my hand through my hair. I hate it when my mom does the things I always wanted to do and then brags it on my face. Good thing I won't see her for a week. I hope it will be longer. I put my phone on my pillow and walked to the bathroom. I closed the door and looked at the mirror.
My hair is a huge mess, like always, and I look like I just came back from the dead. I really need a shower. I took off my clothes and turned on the water. I stepped inside and tood there, in the warm water. I lifted my face so it could get hit by the water. I ran my hands on my face. I washed my hair and body.
When I was done, I stood in the water for a little longer, letting the water taking away all the stress. Whe the water started to get cold, I turned off the water and stepped out of the tub. I wrapped a towel around my body and walked back to my room. I quickly changed into a pair of sweatpants and a huge baggy shirt, that I barely put on. I let my hair self dry. I made my bed, cleaned my room, and grabbed my backpack to finish my late homework.
I sat on my bed and took out my books. I looked at the paper and squinted my eyes. I hate geometry. It's stupid. I took out my notes and looked through them, looking how to solve this. Then my phone vibrated. I grabbed it and saw that Justin is calling me. I slid the screen and put the phone on my ear.
