Sorry for the delay, it took a while to finally get one of my friends to edit. Enjoy!

"Do you think she's come back yet?" Daniel asked from the side of the cart.

"Who?" Cody asked.

"Lynn."

"Oh."

"I don't know," Mary chimed. "She could be gone for a long time."

"It just makes you wonder I guess," Cody commented.

"What do you mean?" Daniel asked.

"I dunno."

Mary laid down in the back and Daniel rested his head on his hand.

"Look at the clouds," Mary said.

Daniel looked up and saw dark storm clouds above. They were approaching from the north, heading for them.

"Looks like we're getting rain tonight," Cody said.

"Mhm," Daniel agreed. "Let's just hope we make it back before the storm hits."

"We're nearly there. It's not going to get us," Cody assured, confident.

They rode along for another half minute when it began to sprinkle. Mary sat up and covered her head with her jacket, wearing it like a hat.

"You were saying?" Daniel pressed.

"It's not going to get any worse," Cody defended.

As if on cue, the rain began to pelt down harder. Daniel just looked at him.

"Go faster!" Cody yelled, cracking the reigns.

"Careful! These roads are dangerous when wet," Daniel scolded.

Cody slowed down to a safer speed, still going fast enough to get home quickly. By the time they made it back they were nearly drenched and the horses weren't very happy. Cody let them into the stable and Mary ran inside. Daniel and Cody quickly followed.

"We were wondering if you got stuck in the storm," Kyle laughed from the kitchen. They all took off their coats and shoes, putting them aside.

"Hmph, 'wasn't gonna rain' my butt!" Mary exclaimed, shaking the water out of her tennis shoes..

"I can't predict the weather," Cody excused himself.

"Clearly," Daniel joked.

They all walked into the kitchen and were greeted by a strange sight. There was a girl, tall and tan with long, curly red hair. She wore one of Delilah's dresses.

"Did you get stuck in the storm too?" Daniel asked her.

She made a funny face and didn't reply.

"No, she showed up earlier today," Nathan said, cooking a bunch of eggs and bacon at the stove.

"Really?" Cody asked. "I'm Cody, what about you?" He outstretched his hand.

The girl just looked at him, taking his hand but still not saying anything.

"Who is she and why isn't she answering?" Mary demanded.

"She lost her voice. It's a long story," Kyle answered.

"We don't actually know who she is," Aspen added.

"I'm gonna go get dry clothes," Mary said, leaving.

"I don't care about being wet," Cody shrugged, sitting down. Pierce snickered.

"So, does she have a name?" Daniel asked, sitting next to Cody. The girl made another funny face.
