Nan Hee's POV

I wasn't anticipating that I'd meet Jin again. He still looks the same. He still has that charisma that makes me flustered about it.

But he wasn't the reason why I came back to Korea. It ws my mom. I found out that she divorced with my dad. Mom cannot live alone and that's what made me decide to just stay with her.

The last seven years I've spent in New York were all worth it. I became a doctor, I was able to provide for myself, I was able to reach what I was dreaming of. But no matter how I succeeded. I feel empty when I met Jin again.

I wasn't so sure of how would I face him but I faked a smile. Those years could have been happy for the both of us. I guess we're really not meant for each other.

Yoongi oppa had lots of stories to tell and I stayed with them. I can feel Jin was just looking at me. I wanted to say hi or ask him how he is but I'm scared.

Since it was my first day of work on the hospital, and the out-patients are coming, I came to my office and waited.

One patient after the other. I just love my work, taking care of women around me, pregnant or not and there other concerns.

I was reading some messages on my phone when the door opened. As I looked at who it was. I saw Taehyung. She's with such a beautiful woman. I guess that's his wife. I scanned the records and realized it has been so long. Records of his wife says she gave birth for almost 2 years ago.

Taehyung and his wife sat infront of my table and he smiled.

Taehyung: Noona, you're back.

Nan Hee: Yes.

Taehyung: Long time no see.

Nan Hee: Any concerns for your wife?

Taehyung: Oh, she's a month pregnant.

Nan Hee: Oh, I see. I guess we'd meet often.

Taehyung: Noona. Uhm I mean Dr. Noh.

Nan Hee: Wae?

Taehyung: My wife's OB was suspended. But honestly I wasn't expecting I'd meet you here.

Nan Hee: Nado. But I'm the new resident OB/Gyne here.

Taehyung: You became a doctor like hyung.

Nan Hee: I guess I was really meant to be one.

Taehyung: I'm happy that you're happy.

I gave Taehyung's wife all the necessary vitamins she'll need and I gave her the next schedule for her regular check up.

I've encountered lots of patients and I was so tired. Yoongi oppa volunteered that he'll drive for me. I was at the back seat resting my eyes.

Yoongi: How was your first day?

Nan Hee: It was so tiring.

Yoongi: The hospital is the most popular in town. People really come because of the skilled doctors. Like me.

Nan Hee: Tss.

Yoongi: Are you okay?.

Nan Hee: Ne.

Yoongi: Emotionally?

Nan Hee: Hm. I can't believe mom and dad decided to just divorce. I mean after years of being together?

Yoongi: Not everything lasts forever. Just like you, and Jin.

I became silent of what he said. He's right. No matter how two people love each other, if they're not meant to be, it won't work.

Seokjin's POV

I was at my car one the way home but the memory of how I met her again lingers on my mind. Is she really happy after all those years? Am I really the only one still caught up with pain?

I was puzzled until I arrived at our house. Taehyung was at our dinning area sitting by himself. I took a can of beer from our refrigerator and opened it as I sit beside him.

Jin: Too unusual to see you here alone.

Taehyung: Oh.

Jin: What's the matter?

Taehyung: Hyung, noona's back.

I took a sip from my beer and sighed.

Jin: Yes.

Taehyung: Is it okay, hyung?

Jin: Huh?

Taehyung: Hyung, she left you seven years ago. And then one day she'll come back?

Jin: She has all the rights to come back here in Korea.

Taehyung: It was unfair.

Jin: Wae?

Taehyung: She seems fine.

Jin: And so?

Taehyung: I'm not comfortable of knowing she's on the same hospital where you're working at.

Jin: It's fine with me.

Taehyung: Fine with you? How can you say that when you almost got into an accident because of her.

Jin: Shut it, Taehyung.

Taehyung: Wae? You don't want to talk about how miserable you are when she left?!

Jin: I told you to shut up! Those years were gone. So please, never remind me of it.

I left and went straight to my room. And I've let out all those emotions I've felt when I saw her. I thought I was okay. But a part of me reminds me how empty I am.
