*** "Mommy I miss daddy . Is he coming back?" Daloris asked . "No baby, he's in heaven where all the good people live. " I said sniffling, "Mommy you don't have to cry , he's in here.. "
She said pointing at her heart . My baby is so precious, "Daddy said he loves you and he miss both of us mommy . He told me to tell you don't have to cry he's in a better place. now.. he will come back soon .." she said smiling , my heart melted at her words . I missed Keith so much , it seems so unrealistic that he's now gone .
Three years ago Keith was killed in an drive by . He owed someone some money and he was using the money to take care of me , he promised me he would stop selling drugs. He wanted to make sure me and Daloris was taken care of. I was pregnant at the time , after Daloris was born Keith found out that his mom had cancer , she later on passed away. He stopped dealing for awhile, he became distant, he would come home late at night . He would always be on the phone everytime he received a phone call he always end up going to the next room . I found it very strange, I thought he was cheating on me until I confronted him about it , he came clean and told me he was selling again . I didn't like the fact that he made a promise and broke it , but I understood he did what he needed to do in order to take care of me and our daughter. Our plan was to move out of this dangerous environment , to start a new life and raise Daloris together. But Keith's life was cut short , there's not a day when I don't think about him, he was my first everything . I know I have to stay strong for Daloris, her personality reminds me of Keith. " Did you tell him that mommy loves him too babygirl?" " yes mommy , he said he loves you more & that he's sorry things didn't work out .." I sighed and kissed her forehead " I love you babygirl " " I love you too mommy ."
"How much do you love mommy?" I giggled "I love you thissss much .." she said stretching her arms out wrapping them around my neck squeezing me tight I giggled once more "awww mommy loves you more Daloris Bertrice Powers " I looked up " I love you Keith i forgive you.
