[ CHAPTER 2: year two ]

[ Y/N'S POINT OF VIEW ]

I watched how Jaebum disappeared as soon as he scattered the powder into the flames. We would be going to Diagon Alley to buy our new books for this school year, plus, mom and dad are getting me a pet owl.

I took a pinch of Floo Powder and walked to the edge of the fire. Taking a deep breath, and looking at my parents, who shot me a small smile. I took a step forward, feeling the fire's warm breeze. "Diagon Alley", i roared before throwing the Floor Powder.

I closed my eyes, feeling dizzy already. Although it's my 2nd time using Floo Powder, i still manage to swallow a lot of ash. I looked around the crowded street, trying to search for my brother. Because i might get lost again, like last time. And oh, did i forgot to mention that Jaebum has been chosen as a Prefect.

Of course mom and dad are very proud of him, plus, he's part of Slytherin Quidditch Team as a Keeper. I heard from the house elves, that dad is getting him a new broom. So i wondered that maybe Jaebum already went to Quality Quidditch Supplies, already looking for a broom that he would like dad to buy for him.

"Y/N?", I heard someone called me.

I furrowed my eyebrows and looked around, I saw Jungkook making her way through the crowded people. I immediately sighed in relief, knowing that i finally have a companion. "Oh, hey Kookie!", I smiled at him.

"It's nice seeing you here", he patted my shoulder.

My smile went wider, "Me too", I told him. I looked at the books he's holding, "I see you've bought your new books already", I mumbled.

He chuckled nodding his head, suddenly i felt someone scared me from behind making me flinch. "Gotchu", I heard a familiar voice, and soon followed by him messing up my hair.

I slightly groaned, looking up at my older brother, "Hey, stop it", I argued.

"I see you have a friend here", he glanced at Jungkook. "Oh where are my manners, I'm Im Jaebum, Y/N's older brother", he paused. "Fifth year", he continued.

Jungkook smiled, "Jeon Jeongguk, second year like Y/N", he introduced herself and slightly bowed once he saw Jaebum's shining Prefect Badge. Like is it necessary to wear it in Diagon Alley?

Jaebum nodded, "Nice meeting you. I'm assuming you're in the Slytherin House?", he asked. He nodded, "And a pure-blood right?", he added, which made him nod his head.

Okay but why does he need to ask her blood status? Oh right, my family despises muggleborns, half-bloods and pure-bloods who support muggleborns, or blood-traitor as what they liked to call it.

I heard him sighed in relief, "Okay. It's nice meeting someone like us. But we really need to go and buy our stuff", he politely excused himself.

"Alright", I mumbled. "Bye, I'll see you at Hogwarts", I told him.

He chuckled, "Bye", he replied, before i excused myself. I went off to follow my older brother, who's already walking ahead of me. I saw dad and mom motioning us to come over, who's already standing in front of Quality Quidditch Supplies.

Jungkook, Mingyu and i became a lot closer than last year, and eventually turned into bestfriends. I also made a few more friends and even created an inner circle with them. Throughout the second year in Hogwarts, I met Jungkook's family friend, Lisa. 

She's actually pretty nice, and fun to hang out with. We quickly got along because of our similar interests, specifically Quidditch. Then i also met Miyeon, we actually met in the library. More like, I helped her reach something from the high shelf because she's too short. And now we often hang out in library, either doing or homework or just chilling.

Soon after the school year finally ended, and it was the last day. Currently we were seated in the great hall. With green banners with snakes on them are hung around the ceiling. Dumbledore, who stood in front of everyone nods at Professor McGonagall. She dings her class, and everyone then shut their mouths from talking to one another, and instead focused their attention in front.

Dumbledore warmly smiled at us, as he announced the points that we have gained for our house throughout the year. After announcing that Slytherin has won the house cup, which was actually already obvious from the banners displayed on the large room.

My house cheered loudly, and pumped my fist into the air excitedly. "Yeah! We won!", I glanced at Jungkook who was screaming and jumping around like a little girl. While me and Mingyu couldn't contain ourselves from laughing at Jungkook being adorable again.

The whole time I felt someone looking at my direction, I furrowed my eyebrows and looked around the room. Coincidence or not, but my eyes met a girl's eyes who sat a few meters away from me. But as soon as our eyes met, she immediately looked away and turned back to her housemates. 

I furrowed my eyebrows even more, she does look familiar though. Plus, she's in Gryffindor. Surely we have met before, right? Even though I don't interact much with people that are not in the same house as mine. Because of the stereotyping, Lions and Snakes don't get along.

I averted my gaze from the girl, once I felt someone ruffling my hair. I looked up and saw that it was Jaebum, he messed up my hair even more before finally letting go of me. This year sure is a great year for us Slytherins.
