Author's note:

Happy April!

What's new? For one, the new Sanders Sides video came out last night and it was SO AMAZING! If you haven't seen it yet, you should definitely go check it out! SO AWESOME AHHHHH

On another note, xXxTOXIC-MIDNIGHTxXx has been around for almost a full year! Even though we just opened our Wattpad a few months ago, our fanfiction.net account opened on April 4, 2018.

By now we've made almost fifty stories between the two websites!  It's been an incredible experience so far, and we thank you all so much for your support!

Anyway, since it's almost our anniversary, I made this chapter extra long

So I won't stall any longer- on with the story!

Roman knew there was hope now. Hope of being set free. He set out to find the others, so he could make sure they were still alive, and catch them up on the latest development.

Thomas' brain wasn't as foggy and dark as it had been when he was trapped in there. Previously, he'd been locked away in a dark cell, and everything felt much heavier, fuzzier.

Now, he was no longer confined to one space, and it felt much clearer. There were still traces of darkness, but for the most part, it was back to normal.

However, he realized he was still unable to exit Thomas' mind unless he was summoned, which would prove to be a disadvantage.

He walked outside the formerly locked cell, and began his search.

Past many of Thomas' old memories, thoughts, video ideas, dreams. The further he walked, the darker the thoughts became. Dreams turned to nightmares. Sunlight turned to rain, which turned to hailstorms. Various fears began popping up out of nowhere, like crashes of thunder.

Immediately, he knew he had to be looking in the right place.

"Virgil?" he called. "Are you here?"

No answer.

He gulped, growing uncomfortable with the atmosphere. He shivered against the chill of the heavy winds blowing rain at his face. The pattering of the rain was so heavy now, he couldn't even hear himself think.

"Virgil?!" he called out, even louder. "Come on, I know you're around here somewhere!"

He still didn't get any reply.

He kept walking against the wind, his face down to shield his eyes, hoping he'd wander upon something. And that's when the rain gradually started getting lighter. Every few steps, the winds died down ever so slightly.

Soon enough, he was travelling through a small shower, just a sprinkle of rain and an occasional bolt of lightning.

And although the storm was calm, the pressure in the air was still very strong. It brought an ominous feeling of nerves and uneasiness to Roman. He continued upon the path until he came across a door.

"Virgil, are you in there?" he asked, cautiously, knocking against the door.

No response.

He slowly swung the door open, afraid of what might lie behind it. He clutched the hilt of his sword, but prayed he wouldn't have to use it.

As he entered, he was stunned to find Virgil there, lying on the ground, unresponsive.

He gasped and rushed over to him, releasing the grip on his sword.
