Anjali found herself staring dumbfoundedly at the phone receiver in her hand. She could not believe what the person who had called said to her.
Her husband who had just came down the stairs rushed to his wife's side seeing her still state.
"What happened? Did anyone say something to you? Who called?" Raghudev Sharma, who is attuned to his wife's every emotions, took the receiver from her to check the information on the last call. Anjali came to her senses at the panic look at her husband. She put her hand on his shoulder getting his attention. He looked up from his inspection at her, question written in his eyes.
She smiled at him assuring him immediately. He took a deep breath hugging her side.
"Never do that again. Please for the sake of my heart. Hmmm?," he begged looking down at her. She giggled at his overreaction and nodded.
"Now, tell me what had you reacting in such a way? Who called?" Raghu asked.
Anjali started laughing which made him feel completely at lost at what to do with his wife. She began laughing harder at his lost look. He raised an eyebrow at her in question.
Anjali taking a deep breath to control herself started explaining, "The call was from Madhu's assistant."
"The Choreographer? Why would they called? Are they not coming in today?"
"Actually, they will not be coming at all from now on." Anjali said, linking her arm through her husband's and guiding them towards the sofa.
"What do you mean?" Raghu said. He help her down the sofa making her comfortable.
"Apparently, Madhu Ji was too frustrated to continue the dancing lessons for the sangeet." She explained as she took the morning tea offered by Hari Prakash. She took a sip and looked at her husband who was doing the same.
"Too frustrated? For what? For being too understanding at her high handedness?" He scoffed.
She smiled indulgently at him. "I know you don't like her because of the way she acted at our wedding. You have held a long grudge. But I wanted the best for Aakash's sangeet. And she was best available to us at this time." He didn't reply but just nodded in understanding.
"Anyway, she won't be coming anymore. Her assistant told me she had to go on a film shooting outside the country, that she could not postpone it. But I think it was just a lie. I was really surprised that they actually had the nerve to say that the previous lessons that she taught would be enough for the sangeet. They are both crazy in the head if they think they taught all those dance steps. Mostly it was Nani and Bua Ji who completely modified all the complicated steps and made it easy for us. I don't know why I even hired her in the first place when we had two most amazing dancers in the family." Anjali questioned herself.
He husband said nothing but tries to hide his smile behind his cup by sipping his tea quietly. Nevertheless, she saw it. She narrowed her eyes. "Having fun laughing at my expense?" she questioned him. He burst out laughing holding his cup away from him so as to not spill it over himself.
Anjali somewhat miffed at her husband silently finishes her tea.
"Well, I know now that I won't be hiring her anymore for future marriages in this family."
"Future marriage? Whose? You don't mean Arnav, right?"
Anjali gave him a look. "Who else? Of course it is for my Chotte. For him, we can just ask Nani and Bua Ji to teach us again and it will be well-planned beforehand."
